Brought to you by HOLY Propaganda.

SPEAKER_22

Welcome to the Silver Linings Playlist 10th Anniversary Special. The stars are out, the wives are mine and yours, and this celebration is set to be an all-timer. A decade of memories is on display tonight as we look back on some truly unforgettable moments from the show's incredible journey and enduring legacy. And now, please welcome your host for this evening, Mr. Dustin Goes to Hollywood.

SPEAKER_18

My name is Dustin Ghost of Hollywood, and I am the host and co-founder of this very show. Today we were celebrating 10 full years as a podcast. On this date, way back in 2016, we released our first episode on Darren Aronowski's Requiem for a Dream, and ever since then we've released over 220 episodes covering some of Cinema's bleakest endings in the forms of cliffhangers, bittersweet conclusions, and even some movies that don't seem to have proper endings at all. We've laughed, we've cried, we've discovered some things about ourselves, and tonight we're celebrating all of it as we look back at the history of the podcast and enjoy some absolutely hilarious and unforgettable moments. Now, as a little bit of table setting, I do have to mention that for this episode, we are only looking back at episodes one through 224, which of course was our episode on the 1986 version of The Hitcher, and that's purely because of time constraints, so this episode releases on time. Not to pat myself on the back, but I have done a Herculean effort in building out the show for tonight, and I know you all are gonna love it. So without further ado, should we get this thing started or what? Alright then, let me introduce the co-founder and co-host of the podcast who's been here since day one. He's got some thoughts on 9-11, and as I've said before on the show, he is the villain of the podcast.

SPEAKER_19

So please give it up for Mally Moore.

SPEAKER_22

And now, please welcome Mr. Mally Moore.

SPEAKER_06

Look at us.

SPEAKER_17

Not me.

SPEAKER_15

Who would have thought 10 years, 10 years of this show?

SPEAKER_17

I mean, to be fair, I've probably only been present for like five to six of them.

SPEAKER_15

I was gonna say you've been here at least 50% of the time, I think.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah. Call it a soft 50.

SPEAKER_18

There you go, a soft 50. I like that. So, Mally, we started this podcast because you and I had one thing in common when it comes to movies, and that is we do love a downer ending.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, we disagree on every other aspect, but go on.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah, but we explain in our prequel episode uh that describes what this show is actually all about.

SPEAKER_15

Me and Mally uh are came up with this idea for a podcast, um something that I personally have a huge heart for, and that's uh movies that have you know not so happy endings, you know, I don't uh movies that all wrap up in a neat little bow. Uh I don't know, I've always had a a fascination with that. I like movies that kind of take you one direction and then at the end kind of leave you hanging. Uh I don't know. I guess I'm just a pessimist, maybe.

SPEAKER_17

At least for me, like the downer ending, I'm gonna keep thinking about that movie for a while.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, it it it resonates exactly a lot more than a movie with a good I don't want to say a good message, but yeah, with a good ending. Right. Because even these these Blaker movies have good messages in them, and you just kind of have to find them. And that's kind of the point of what this podcast that we're gonna do is about. It's uh it's called the Silver Linings playlist.

SPEAKER_18

So what's very apparent in that clip is how different we saw today versus then, especially me, because sometime around season five, I don't know if we mentioned this on the air, but I had a simultaneous septoplasty and tonsilectomy to alleviate my sleep apnea, which thank God, because I sounded so nasally back then, I don't know how anyone listened to those episodes.

SPEAKER_17

Fun fact, they didn't.

SPEAKER_15

They didn't, you're right, you're right. No one listened to the show until season five when I had that surgery. So if you're ever curious as to what happened to me in between those times, there's your answer. But we learned a lot in what I like to call the classic era of the show, Mally, which is the first four seasons. And one of the things I learned is that you're a psychopath because of your love for one specific beverage in particular.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 17, Elephant.

SPEAKER_15

And I gotta say, I think only psychopaths drink milk straight. Not even who drinks a glass of milk, dude? Come on. This isn't 1950. And not even that, he doesn't even pour himself a glass of milk, he just drinks straight out the gallon. That is fucking disgusting. Do you drink milk straight? Okay, Mally's leaving. Do not go get a gallon of milk. I will throw up. Regular milk?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, that's fucking gross, dude.

SPEAKER_15

It's 2% as well, so it's like delicious.

SPEAKER_19

That's fucking gross.

SPEAKER_15

Do I have a milk mustache?

SPEAKER_19

No, I just have a regular one.

SPEAKER_15

Damn it. So Mallie, do you still uh you still chugging along with your 2% milk? Is it still your go-to?

SPEAKER_17

That was probably the last time I drank milk. Because I called you out on I'm going to be honest, I don't remember that. Uh-huh. And I'm very curious as to why I had milk. I don't know. I do not know. That's wow.

SPEAKER_06

Mm-hmm. Well, I'm glad I set you on the right path and you you had your come to Jesus moment.

SPEAKER_17

I have my come to Jesus moment every Sunday night.

SPEAKER_18

So the first 104 episodes of the show were mostly just you and I, with the occasional guests, but we had one guest on a few times during that run who brought a great energy to the episodes he was on. It really made them something special. So between seasons four and five, we asked him to come aboard the show full time as a co-host. And lucky for us.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, is Moss here? Uh-huh. He's waiting in the wings.

SPEAKER_18

But lucky for us, this guy obliged. So let's hear it for our second co-host of the podcast, Nathan Simmons.

SPEAKER_22

And now, please welcome Mr. Nathan Simmons.

SPEAKER_16

Hi, everybody. I don't know if it's ever come up, but I have a wife.

SPEAKER_15

I don't think we've ever heard that before on the show. That's incredible news to hear.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, yeah. Huh. I've just been sitting here muted, losing my mind over the musical stings. And if I may, you put your entire Hollywoodse into this.

SPEAKER_06

I am a wussy. You're absolutely wrong.

SPEAKER_17

That's my least favorite phrase of all time.

SPEAKER_19

So, Nathan, you've been a full-time part of the show since episode 105, which was our episode on Pi.

SPEAKER_15

And since then, I think you've been on as many episodes as Mallie has. And during your time on the show, we've learned some things about you as well. Including we learned who your favorite actress is.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 216, Scream 4. Nathan loves Emma Roberts. Oh my god!

SPEAKER_15

Oh my lord. No, no, you heard it here first, folks.

SPEAKER_16

No, I made a comment when we started dating about CSLP exclusive. About how I enjoy, I think Emma Roberts is very good in the first season of Scream Queens, which is a very dumb, very silly show. And Ashley turned that into an ongoing bit where Emma Roberts is my favorite actor. So anytime she's in which we were watching Madame Webb, she goes, Oh, your girl's in this.

SPEAKER_22

I got my hands full with Nathan and how much he loves Emma Roberts. Shut up.

SPEAKER_15

Missed opportunity to not, you know how like couples that are engaged when they're getting married, they'll send out like letters to corporations being like, hey, we're getting married. Can we get like some swag or something? Or invite shouldn't have invited Emma Roberts to your wedding. That's the missed opportunity.

SPEAKER_22

We should have.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, what is she up to? She probably could have come.

SPEAKER_15

She probably could probably got nothing going on.

SPEAKER_22

She could have walked me down the aisle.

SPEAKER_16

Should we invite her to our next play?

SPEAKER_22

Please.

SPEAKER_15

She genuinely seems like she may actually come.

SPEAKER_06

Like I will say that. What? Why are you looking at me like that, Nick?

SPEAKER_16

So Ashley, so Pete behind the curtain, one of the things that Ashley does every day is rewatch The Righteous Gemstones.

SPEAKER_22

Oh my god, don't don't blow up my spot.

SPEAKER_16

You you've rewatched she's rewatched The Righteous Gemstones, I think four times within just the last like three months. It's like her it's her favorite TV series of all time.

SPEAKER_22

Listen, I have a lot of anxiety and it helps.

SPEAKER_16

Okay. Sometimes you just need an eight ball and two million dollars. And every time that she gets to season two with is it season two that has Eric Roberts, right? Oh god. Or is it season three?

SPEAKER_22

Uh yeah, season two.

SPEAKER_16

So every time he's on screen, I'm like, you know, his daughter is my favorite actor.

SPEAKER_15

So Nathan, is that still true? Emma Roberts still number one?

SPEAKER_16

Absolutely. With a bullet. Okay, great. And Ashley, I think, has watched The Righteous Gemstones like four more times since we recorded that episode.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Also, it's worth noting, I feel like my voice has changed also since we started because we've had a pandemic in one Trump administration since I joined the series. Oh yeah. I'm not saying it's my fault, but I I I've definitely the timbre of my voice is different.

SPEAKER_15

I don't know.

SPEAKER_18

I can connect some dots.

SPEAKER_17

I thought you meant like since that episode. I was like, brother, that was a month ago. I know. I've lived hard.

SPEAKER_18

So I like to think of the first three seasons that you joined us, Nathan, as a sort of reconstruction era. Like, not that the show needed fixing, but it was a time Renaissance, if you will.

SPEAKER_17

There you go. When we were rebuilding America.

SPEAKER_18

But it was a time when we were still figuring out the dynamics of each other's personalities and how each person fit into the show, but something was missing. And what was missing is our fourth and final member of this celebration episode. And that is our special guest, turncompt trolller, JT Kelly.

SPEAKER_22

And now, please welcome Mr. JT Kelly.

SPEAKER_06

Oh.

SPEAKER_15

Spooky. This is way too much fanfare for someone who's completely faking it till he makes it. No. Welcome, JT. Hello. So for those who let him finish. I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_18

For those who aren't fully aware, and I don't think we've ever talked about this on the show before, but JT is not familiar with the Halloween franchise. But that didn't stop him from having some drunken thoughts on where the franchise should go next once he saw the 2018 LEGA sequel, which coincidentally spawned some new vernacular for the show.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 119, Halloween 2018.

SPEAKER_05

Let's think about the three uh the three strokes. Amigos. Alright, so you got Lori, who is, you know, uh, yeah. And then you got the dynamic between her and her granddaughter.

SPEAKER_17

Wait, what are we doing? This is such a well-thought-out analysis, JT. Let's j- he just wants us to look at them. Are you gonna list her stats?

SPEAKER_05

Basically, basically look at it. Let's who sticks out the most. Guys, just look at them. Look, she has plus three dexterity. Yeah. She has. It's funny because I have my notes written.

SPEAKER_17

I'm taking my fucking headphones off again.

SPEAKER_16

But these these three do combine to form Exodia, right?

SPEAKER_05

Guys, it's fucking hilarious because I have my notes written on the back of a DD 5D stuff character sheet.

SPEAKER_17

God, you're a fucking nerd. Um, do they combine to form like the final girl version of Voltron? Yes.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, look, I'm just saying the granddaughter wants to the grandmother involved completely. Just look at them.

SPEAKER_17

Look at them. God damn it.

SPEAKER_16

Let me prove a fucking point. So we got we got Lori, we got Anastasia, we got and all right.

SPEAKER_05

So it's been real. My name is JT. Thank you guys for having me.

SPEAKER_06

Wow, dude, you were so wasted all that episode. I was.

SPEAKER_05

But you guys JT, look at them. You guys chiming in really say that because that made it hilarious.

SPEAKER_06

I know. I didn't know where you were going with that. Dude.

SPEAKER_17

JT didn't know where the fuck he was going with it.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah. I was ready to hear him out until he said, Well, first you got Lori, who Yeah. Lost train of thought. I get it.

SPEAKER_18

Fellas, I do have to warn you that we unfortunately will not have time during the celebration to hear every great moment we've had on the show. So I've taken the liberty of creating a few clips that contain certain highlights in the form of out-of-context supercuts. Oh no. And here's the first one.

SPEAKER_15

Oh good.

SPEAKER_16

You buy a bottle of cough syrup and you hope that, you know, it'll lead to Fellatio. I didn't have a fucking need until you were like, hey dude, we're doing kids.

SPEAKER_24

Seal is like the Toto of hip hop.

SPEAKER_17

Kim Kardashian doesn't shit. You introduce some natural light into it, less rapey.

SPEAKER_15

69's always underwhelming, my friend. We get the neck of the dick.

SPEAKER_04

This is where some belly button porn.

SPEAKER_16

Guy arrives in heaven and he's like, no, it's it's fine. I just didn't expect it to be Chinese. It could be raining titties, and I could look up and still catch a dick. I mean, I'm just gonna slam Michael Douglas, but his weird rat eyes and voice.

SPEAKER_15

Say what you will. Racism makes you faster. You can't sit there. That's where the dog shits.

SPEAKER_16

Do I ever hit my head so hard that I become evil and gay? You become gay, Joker.

SPEAKER_17

What's the most evil thing on the planet? Bisexuals. Do not isolate that sound button. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_14

Oh man. Oh god.

SPEAKER_16

I don't remember cough syrup and fellatio. I don't remember any of that.

SPEAKER_15

So it goes without saying that while we are a movie review podcast that likes to have a bit of fun with some inside jokes and whatnot, which has never been done before on any other podcast. It's not always hee he's and ha ha's. Sometimes love blossoms on the show.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 123, Paranormal Activity.

SPEAKER_18

Speaking of uh more timely than ever, there's no better time than now to introduce our guest. Yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Uh Nathan, will you please do the honors? Sure. Joining us from Southern Haunts and Oh, That's a Scary Movie, my BFF Ashley McLaughlin.

SPEAKER_22

Hi. My mom's birthday is on Wednesday.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, nice.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 178, stay alive.

SPEAKER_16

Speaking of, you know, checking in at the 30-minute mark, I have to throw this up front. Uh-oh. My beautiful fiancee, who often watches films with me for the podcast. She tapped out. No, you know, she actually referenced our podcast, this podcast, in her proposal to me. So like. Oh my god. Live with that, Dustin.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 201, Godzilla 1998.

SPEAKER_16

I gotta say, guys, I watched this episode, this movie last night with um My Wife.

SPEAKER_15

Hello yeah, brother. Sorry, everybody. Just call me Matthew Broderick because I don't know how to act.

SPEAKER_19

It's beautiful, isn't it?

SPEAKER_16

Thank you. That was so sweet. I do love the implication that we never would have gotten together if it weren't for this podcast.

SPEAKER_06

This show, it's solely responsible for it. Just matchmaking.

SPEAKER_17

My show. I can't wait for the episode like post-divorce. That's always so much fun. Jesus.

SPEAKER_18

Well, look, sometimes one of us also makes a fashion choice on one episode that is then followed through on another. Uh-oh.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 218, Halloween Resurrection.

SPEAKER_17

I watched Hamnet and made the executive decision. I too need a cunty little earring. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 223, The Roses.

SPEAKER_17

Plus, I got a cunty little earring now. Oh, it's like let's fucking get sassy with it.

SPEAKER_15

Wait, hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on.

SPEAKER_06

This is news.

SPEAKER_15

This is huge news.

SPEAKER_06

I need a photo immediately. Wow.

SPEAKER_10

Cunty little earring. Glad to be here for this moment. This is so exciting.

SPEAKER_16

This is so exciting for me.

SPEAKER_17

Well, in my defense, I told Nathan I watched Hamnet the other day. Oh, right.

SPEAKER_10

Yes, that's true. So. And it comes with that free visit to Claire.

SPEAKER_06

It's like when you know when you used to go to like Burger King, they're like, get a happy meal or kid's meal or whatever, and you'll get a free ticket to the Pokemon movie.

SPEAKER_17

I was like live texting Nathan while I was watching Hamnet. That's right. Yo, wait, hang on. Did Shakespeare have a cunty little earring?

SPEAKER_15

Oh mad. That cunty little earring. I love that the phrasing was the same. I follow through, boys. No, it looks good.

SPEAKER_18

It looks great. But that's not the only time something we've said during an episode becomes reality. Oh. Listen to this collection of moments where we correctly predicted the future.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 32, Avengers Infinity War.

SPEAKER_15

I'm guessing the plan is just to get to Thanos, get the glove from them, uh, get the gauntlet from him, and then somehow use the timestone to reverse it, right? How though? I don't know. Somebody's maybe Tony's gonna have to wield the gauntlet.

SPEAKER_17

Oh no, dude, there's no way a human is wielding the gauntlet.

SPEAKER_15

Look, man, uh Star Lord, Star Lord was able to hold a stone, so he's he was 50% celestial. Maybe that's how Tony ends up dying, is he tries to wield a gauntlet and ends up killing him in the process.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 52, Star Wars, episode 8, The Last Jedi.

SPEAKER_17

People on Twitter want her to be a Kenobi or some shit. Yeah, I mean there's there's theories for everything. I also heard Palpatine's granddaughter.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 103, Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald.

SPEAKER_15

Queenie's gonna be in the Battle of Hogwarts for some fucking reason. I think we're gonna get a reboot within 20 years. It didn't even take that long.

SPEAKER_06

It only took a couple.

SPEAKER_17

Man. I want to note one thing regarding the Infinity War bit. Please. I knew the entire plot of Endgame. I know you did. I know you did. And was trying so hard to steer you away from that. I know.

SPEAKER_06

I can't believe when I went back and re-listened to that episode, I could not believe I called it. That's so funny.

SPEAKER_15

It's incredible.

SPEAKER_17

The moment you said that on the recording, I like we weren't on video, but I was like panicking like oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck.

SPEAKER_16

Is that also the episode that got a retweet from James Gunn?

SPEAKER_15

Yes, because I did the um uh the no, no, no, no. It was super where I did um uh oh god, what's his uh character's name?

SPEAKER_16

I don't remember.

SPEAKER_15

The guy used at the monkey wrench, Rain Wilson. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_16

Rain Wilson's character comes out, says shut up crime from one of the portals.

SPEAKER_15

Yes. And then the Avengers assemble, yeah.

SPEAKER_19

That's good. Sometimes we get it right, but sometimes we also get it very, very wrong.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 15, an American Werewolf in London.

SPEAKER_15

His son Max Landis, who you might know from Chronicle and a few other movies, American Ultra, uh, he is going to be writing and directing the upcoming remake of American Werewolf in London, which I think is pretty cool. I think uh Is Is that official? I'm not sure if that was just rumored. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 47, Cloverfield.

SPEAKER_15

Earlier this year, actually, uh a direct sequel uh was confirmed back in April, uh, that apparently is gonna be hitting theaters, not not Netflix, but apparently hitting theaters sooner rather than later. So I'm assuming uh there's a movie that's slated between now and next year that's a secret closure field movie that we just don't know about yet.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 63, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

SPEAKER_15

So we're getting at least five.

SPEAKER_17

I think I'm probably not gonna see that duel until the fifth one, which is probably like fucking four years from now. Yeah. Fuck.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 92, Joker.

SPEAKER_17

We're not gonna see a sequel to this. We're not gonna see this character, like this incarnation of the Joker, pop up.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 119, Halloween, 2018.

SPEAKER_05

I really hope Judy Gear doesn't.

SPEAKER_15

No, what? No. It's because I like her so much, is why I hope she does. Interesting. Does that make sense? I don't think any of the Strode women are gonna die. What the fuck did Judy Gurd do to you, JT? Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 144, Batman Returns.

SPEAKER_16

I don't know if the Flash can come out. I don't understand.

SPEAKER_18

That movie will I'm I'm putting it now. That movie will never come out. It's worse than the new mutants at this point. It's never coming out. Don't even get your don't hold your breath. It's never coming out. And I don't care.

SPEAKER_15

They could all be winners, right?

SPEAKER_16

Isn't there a funnier person who could have said Joker 2 will never have to? Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah. Hey, hey. The check cleared. The checks cleared. Yes, of course, of course. Again, Halloween. The moment JT said that, your asshole turned inside out. I was like, fuck. Like going back through text, like, did I fucking leak something?

SPEAKER_18

But this podcast also isn't just about movies.

SPEAKER_15

Sometimes one of us learns a thing or two during our conversations, like this moment that spawns a lot of future jokes.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 188, Long Legs.

SPEAKER_15

You know what we were missing in the interrogation scene? What's the cuck chair from hotels that's just off to the side? What do you mean? Do you know about this? No, I don't. You've never heard about this? No, explain it. Hold on. Hold on. This is like this this is like fucking in the standard all over again. Don't go, don't show me your screen.

SPEAKER_06

Hold you fucking sit there and you wait. Yeah, we're gonna be forced to.

SPEAKER_15

Why do all hotel rooms have a cuck chair?

SPEAKER_06

Oh no. And this is the chair that they just put aside for some reason next to the desk.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, yeah, yeah. The chair that's in the corner.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's the cuck chair. No, that's where I do all my thinking. Oh, that's where you do your thinking. I see. I I do the Oppie naked leg cross. That's what I do in those chairs. Sure.

SPEAKER_16

No, I set I set my bat suit in the other corner and I stare at it like this tonight tonight.

SPEAKER_15

Now we're just every hotel has a cook chair. It's real. Is every cut? Yeah, I guess, I guess. Look how many chairs there are. Oh, that was a cut couch. That's what you pay extra you need to cut couch. It's a long video. I mean, these are all great questions. Yep. There you go. Oh. Oh, there's a t hold on, there's a t-shirt. Mickey Pod. Leave me alone. I'm pottery existence in the hotel room cut clean. I actually need this t-shirt. Hold on, hold on. Let me uh you want to order that while we're oh bookmark that uh I know what I know what someone's getting for their birthday this year. Just build the uh build the podcast. Business expense.

SPEAKER_13

We noticed you from across the barn. We like your vibe. Do you want to bookmark this chair? This shirt chair. This shirt chair. Cuckoo! Cuckoo cuckoo! Cuckoo.

SPEAKER_15

Daddy, that gross guy's back ordering shirts again.

SPEAKER_17

Daddy was going on in that episode.

SPEAKER_12

Dude, I don't know.

SPEAKER_17

Oh man. Do you know how many cuck chairs we send to each other now?

SPEAKER_12

I know.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, it's daily. Easy daily. That's like a part of our lives now. If one of us goes on vacation and we don't send cuck chair photos, like we've I was in Europe and I was like, look, there's cuck chairs in the castle.

SPEAKER_05

Look. Like if we don't send a cuck chair, like we need to call the authorities. Something's wrong with us.

SPEAKER_15

Someone's in trouble. Send up the bat signal. Nathan was on his honeymoon. Executive cuck chair. But of course, that moment led to a lot of future discussions about cucks and their chairs.

SPEAKER_16

Of course.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 196, Hell House, LLC.

SPEAKER_10

I have to call into question the fact that I didn't see a single cuck chair in this hotel. That's true. Not a single cuck chair.

SPEAKER_18

Well, to be fair, the camera footage is moving so fast it would be easy to, you know, not be able to see it in that switch pan.

SPEAKER_16

Wait, Moss, are you listening to this season or not?

SPEAKER_15

Because this comes up a lot. It sure does.

SPEAKER_17

Okay. To be fair, the beds are mattresses on the floor. Like the cuck chair is just the floor.

SPEAKER_06

There you go.

SPEAKER_10

How is this a real hotel if there's no fucking cuck chair?

SPEAKER_06

Maybe that's why it got shut down. It was like, sir, you're not legally a hotel.

SPEAKER_10

It's not a hotel anymore, Moss. Yeah, but it's abandoned. The chair should still be there.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's not hotel house LLC. I'd imagine Moss actually complains to like the like hotel management. Where's my cuck?

SPEAKER_16

Sir, there's no cuck chair in my room. Excuse me, sirs and madams.

SPEAKER_17

Moss the type of guy to go to Hellhouse and fucking try to order room service.

SPEAKER_16

The weekend of DC's wedding, that's all we fucking heard was Moss downstairs. Where's my cuck chair?

SPEAKER_20

Where's my goddamn cuck chair?

SPEAKER_16

He was like J. Jonah Jameson demanding pictures of Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_15

I think that's why this place shut down, is they're like, you're not legally a hotel anymore because there's no cuck chair available. I said full service.

SPEAKER_10

Andrew Tolley was such a religious fundamentalist. He was like, no cuck chairs.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, wait, they don't have a cuck chair. They have a cuck basement.

SPEAKER_15

I was gonna say, if we're gonna put these these elements into place here, Joey is kind of being cucked because the audience are the ones that get to come through and interact with Melissa being chained up. That's right.

SPEAKER_11

And he can't do anything.

SPEAKER_15

He can't do a fucking thing but sit there and watch.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, now I do want to watch the movie again. He does hold the key.

SPEAKER_15

Oh my god, he's the cuck clown.

SPEAKER_16

LLC. The Margaret Wahlberg of cucks.

SPEAKER_17

Did you say Margaret Wahlberg?

SPEAKER_16

Because they go downstairs and it's oops all Bibles in the basement. So like it's like they're probably safe, right?

SPEAKER_15

And I do like that they they do lampshade it a little bit because they're like, why are there all these Bibles here? They're like, why are they all these Bubbles here? And Sarah's like, it's a hotel. They have Bibles. Yeah, but not in a arranged in a circle in the basement.

SPEAKER_10

They also have cook chairs, and those aren't there.

SPEAKER_15

See, that's why this hotel went under. Huge surplus of Bibles, nothing into the cuck chair budget. That's the problem. Oh man.

SPEAKER_10

What the fuck was wrong with Andrew Tully?

SPEAKER_15

Where am I supposed to read my Bible if I don't have a cook chair? That's what happened. You know what? There was an accounting error. Somebody budgeted raw, and they meant to order one batch of Bibles and they got a hundred and zero cuck chairs.

SPEAKER_11

Oops, all Bibles is the funniest shit.

SPEAKER_15

It's pretty good. I'm glad you like that.

SPEAKER_10

Just a weird note about this hotel. The locks are on the outside of the hook of the doors.

SPEAKER_15

He needed that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

So that was interesting.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, it's a big cuck experience.

SPEAKER_16

Full cuck rooms. Two men enter. JK, only one man enters.

SPEAKER_17

Well, they both enter, just in different ways. Yeah, it's just only one man enters the other man. That's not how cucking works.

SPEAKER_06

You're right.

SPEAKER_05

You're right.

SPEAKER_17

Go ahead, Moss. Okay. Situational, Moss. Situational work.

SPEAKER_05

Fair.

SPEAKER_17

No, explain that before you continue. Why are we assuming one of the guys is the cuck? Okay, fair. It's 2025, baby. Open your mind. Oh man.

SPEAKER_19

Oh God.

SPEAKER_17

Moss preserving the sanctity of the cuck experience. Jesus Christ. There's so much going on in that episode.

SPEAKER_06

I cannot believe all that happened in one episode.

SPEAKER_16

The ultimate cuck experience. I think it's my favorite episode of the podcast. Or like one of my least favorite movies we've watched.

SPEAKER_15

So, well, it's fun to learn new things such as the fascinating world of cucking.

SPEAKER_18

Sometimes we also imparted some wisdom onto our listeners. If you have a guy friend that you've been friends, if you if you have a guy friend that you've been friends with for years, uh-huh, and he tells you that he wants to take you on a date, he can no longer go back to being just a friend. If you were gonna like, dude, if you if you are gonna make a sexually explicit call like this, you gotta be sure the intended recipient is on the receiving end. Not for nothing.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah.

SPEAKER_18

If your sole purpose in life is to go back in time and uh bed Linda Hamilton in 1984, you might be a redneck.

SPEAKER_15

And also, if you are planning on saving saving this little girl chapter their eyes, maybe don't shoot the bullets directly at her. If you order a pizza and your wife asks for pineapples, uh, hold on.

SPEAKER_16

If you make someone's pacemaker explode, you might be a malignant.

SPEAKER_25

If you feel like watching a really fucking sad movie.

SPEAKER_15

If you and I mean, like, if if you are on the phone with your daughter and she says, I could smell your stinking breath through the phone. You might be a redneck. If you watch the show, or if you didn't watch the show and then you saw the movie, you might be a redneck.

SPEAKER_16

If you say I knew it was coming, if you say on on the internet that you don't like this movie, it is like promising young woman all over again. If you thought this was a horror movie, you might be a Republican. If you look closely at the logo, it's the word head is very small. It just says X-Men Origins Wolverine Head. If you're Kelly, uh-huh, if you're Kelly, uh-huh, you're about to commit murder, right? Hey, if you guys take nothing else away from this podcast.

SPEAKER_06

If you if you fuck your daughter, you might be a Republican.

SPEAKER_16

You might be a fucking Republican.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, we lost Nathan for a second there. Holy shit. Oh yeah. I didn't realize we said it that much.

SPEAKER_11

Oh yeah. Nathan was gone. Christ.

SPEAKER_18

So many people don't know this, but we're also not just a movie review podcast. Sometimes we like to explore other creative avenues that we enjoy and share them with you all.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 153, no time to die.

SPEAKER_02

Halloween ends in men, basic instinct shape of things. Oh god. Doctor Strange 365. This podcast has to die. Oh god.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, they love singing. In fact, he did it quite a few times on the show.

SPEAKER_22

A few. From episode 208, Halloween 2, 1981.

SPEAKER_02

Mr. Sandman, man me a sand.

SPEAKER_16

Make him the cutest man, card or hook hand. Give him to sans like sanses and hands is.

SPEAKER_02

Then tell him that is sans and man's our hands is sandman. Oh, there's more, okay.

SPEAKER_16

Sand so a man. Don't have no sands to sand a man. Please turn on your sandy hands. Mr. Sandman, sand me a man.

SPEAKER_06

You know, it is a real problem we don't have enough sand to sand a man.

SPEAKER_15

That is a huge problem we don't talk about. Someone married you.

SPEAKER_06

And of course, Nathan's not the only one who can do a little bit of singing. Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 208, Halloween two, nineteen eighty-one.

SPEAKER_13

The same is playing.

SPEAKER_15

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_06

Can I get an Amen, fellas?

SPEAKER_15

Can I get one in the chat? Amen. Amen. Thank you.

SPEAKER_18

And of course, I think maybe my best work when it comes to singing.

SPEAKER_15

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 221. Hello, Mary Lou, Prom Night 2.

SPEAKER_15

Boys, this is a very special episode. You want to know why? Why is that?

SPEAKER_13

It's prompt.

SPEAKER_16

I will often say, sorry, Kelly, when you do this just if I like mess something up.

SPEAKER_17

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

And lastly, I also like to dabble a little bit in the hip-hop world.

SPEAKER_15

Oh.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 186, Battle Royale.

SPEAKER_13

It has begun again.

SPEAKER_15

But this time with a twist. Oh.

SPEAKER_16

The heat coming off of this thing. Look. Do we even say anything else? Nope.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, can you feel it? Can you feel the fire coming off of this track? Do you feel it now, Mr. Krabs? Oh, I'm Dustin goes to Hollywood, by the way.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, and I'm Nathan Simmons, and if you podcast with someone, you have to live with the consequences.

SPEAKER_06

Hell yeah. I still think that is maybe the best beat I've ever made.

SPEAKER_17

It's so good. I love hearing all these clips from episodes I wish. You weren't on. This is fucking awesome.

SPEAKER_06

It's like the first time, right?

SPEAKER_17

Yeah. Damn, this show's pretty good. Because I don't listen to an episode if I'm not on it.

SPEAKER_15

Of course, of course. Uh, how about another out-of-context supercut, boys? What do you say?

SPEAKER_17

Please.

SPEAKER_16

And also, he ain't got no dick. You guys notice that? They show like his brunch so many times he ain't even got no dick. I haven't seen anything this fucked up since my new grounds days.

SPEAKER_17

Dino good. Why movie bad? One, two, no dick for you.

SPEAKER_16

I like it when it goes off. It's so fun to shoot.

SPEAKER_15

It's so fun to shoot. I wanna be, I don't know, uh, Obama. Uh, secret genes. Sit pretty, Joey. Here comes the darkness. Time to be sad. Teenage mutant, ninja abuser. Donald Trump's neck pussy. Okay.

SPEAKER_22

Could you imagine being kidnapped, kept in a basement, and then all of a sudden.

SPEAKER_15

Taylor Swift is talking to you over the microphone. Everybody, shut shut the fuck up.

SPEAKER_16

I guess I'm wet. What was the context for I'm Wet again? I can't remember.

SPEAKER_15

Uh, it was the book in uh Slumber Party Massacre 2 that they find.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, and also I'm wet.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, of course. Wow, those were some great highlights, right?

SPEAKER_16

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_15

But I feel like there are a couple of recurring bits that really define what this show is all about.

SPEAKER_18

So let's listen to the birth of one of those bits right now. Oh no.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 196, Hell House, LLC.

SPEAKER_18

I was really hoping because I've heard good things about this thing from people that I think have pretty good film criticism takes. And I just found it lackluster. I found this movie to not be doing anything interesting or original. To be fair, to be I like this movie.

SPEAKER_17

Uh-huh. So it makes sense that you don't.

SPEAKER_15

I cannot believe how late in the show's history we started to be. It was on the Hellhouse episode. That's the start of it? Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_16

I think later in the episode you say that's my new bit.

SPEAKER_15

I think you're right.

SPEAKER_16

It is like seeing Oppenheimer looking at the lightning.

SPEAKER_15

I could be wrong, but I did go back and listen to every episode. And that was, I believe, the first instance of it. I think you're right. So I think you're right. Wow. Beautiful. You really went back and listened to every episode for this. Of course. Of course. Wow, that's depressing as fuck.

SPEAKER_19

But it wouldn't be a recurring bit if we didn't have other examples of it happening, right?

SPEAKER_16

Sure. To be fair. To be and to be fair.

SPEAKER_15

To be to be fair like that.

SPEAKER_18

To be fair. The ending of the movie. I'm pretty sure it was in the theatrical release, but it said to be continued and said a to be concluded.

SPEAKER_16

Oh yeah, okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_18

And to be was involved. To be fair. I think they just added the to be continued.

SPEAKER_15

And then I see that to be continued or whatever.

SPEAKER_18

And then this happens.

SPEAKER_15

Would it not be on like Tubi or something? Tubi. To be fair, I actually I I think I would want my caricature to to be stepped on. To be killing somebody.

SPEAKER_06

Priscilla told me I have to stop doing that around the house, and it's becoming a tick that I can't control.

SPEAKER_15

Podcasting is distasteful. To me. Oh boy. Sure is. Hard agree. To me.

SPEAKER_11

To be killing is distasteful.

SPEAKER_18

To me. To me. To be. To be. And that's because two is not originally going to be a solemn movie. Right. To be.

SPEAKER_16

That question was the Tobin Bell uh beards of questions.

SPEAKER_06

Tobin.

unknown

Tobin.

SPEAKER_06

Missed opportunity for not to have done that earlier. I can't believe it took us this long to come up with that.

SPEAKER_15

Wow. 2D animation will always be superior.

SPEAKER_18

2D. 2D will always be. Every time I hear the name Mobile Suit Gundam, I think about this two-piece punk band from back in my hometown.

SPEAKER_16

Two-piece. If we ever do it, my wife has to be on that episode. To be to be fun. That's the first 2bi of the season, right? I know. And when Dustin just left. He doesn't fucking care. To be! There we go. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_18

So I have a clue for the next episode we're gonna be covering. And remember, we're not coming back next week, but we will be back in two weeks on the following Monday.

SPEAKER_20

Two weeks.

SPEAKER_15

God damn it.

SPEAKER_16

We're not doing it. We're not doing that. At the time, I found the ending duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin to be one of the cool to be one of the greatest things I'd seen on screen in a long time.

SPEAKER_15

Two years ago. I want to say two things.

SPEAKER_18

To be fair, is the the word How familiar are we with both the you know the 2D and the 3D animated versions?

SPEAKER_15

Do you think Moby used to have these dreams? Even he thought that was too cute of a nod. Too much. Too much of a nod. I don't give a five fuck. Cody in a Star Wars sound so fucking stupid. Cody. Two things about that. Two things. Two things about that. I submit to you boys here and everyone listening. You boys. Those p to be fair. Too be. He and his wife Rue stare out into the setting two sons as Obi-Wan heads off to hiding and makes sense. Just to be clear, if people haven't seen this movie. These two girls hosted us. Uh-huh. Two girls.

SPEAKER_16

I'm sorry, GT. My child yells to be now when she hears that.

SPEAKER_15

Oh yeah. Thank God. She a fan?

SPEAKER_16

It's a disease like the rage virus.

SPEAKER_18

You would expect a guy who probably hasn't seen other non-infected humans in years to be a crazy person. Like that's what you would expect.

SPEAKER_16

To be. And want to be this guy. Well, and again, it it goes back to that idea of uh to be. It also the excitement that I felt when this movie ended and realizing that I only had to wait two weeks for the sequel to come out.

SPEAKER_11

Two weeks.

SPEAKER_15

It is not next week, it is two weeks from now. What the fuck ever, man? Which will release two weeks. Turns out it is immune to gunfire because he's like, bring that man to me, to me.

SPEAKER_16

You can't do it yourself.

SPEAKER_15

I had to.

SPEAKER_18

I had to before you did.

SPEAKER_15

Okay.

SPEAKER_18

Please tune in two weeks from now when we're talking all about lemon squares that tastes like ass. Two weeks. All of these characters are gonna be written to be so fully aware. To be.

SPEAKER_17

We did two weddings, so if y'all want to do a second one, you could do one.

SPEAKER_16

There you go. We're told that Dewey, uh Dewey and Gayla. No.

SPEAKER_15

No.

SPEAKER_16

Hang on, let the man cook.

SPEAKER_15

I gotta say, I just want to put this out there real quick. Rory Colkin's never done anything to me personally. I have nothing against the guy. To me.

SPEAKER_16

No, I agree.

SPEAKER_15

Stabs Amanda to death violently. To death.

SPEAKER_18

To death. As Logan and Kayla are driving home, two guys are stopped in the middle of the road on a bridge having a convo, blocking the way. Two guys.

SPEAKER_16

Two guys. It's a performance that seems to transcend what this movie. Is aiming to be.

SPEAKER_15

To be to be. To be fair.

SPEAKER_17

To be okay. To be fair, the beds are mattresses on the floor.

SPEAKER_16

It has to be. Thank you. God damn it. I literally lost my train of thought because I was like, no one said to be. Sorry.

SPEAKER_15

So do we recommend Scream 4? Do we? No. No.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, I'm here for it.

SPEAKER_16

We need a new bit. We need a new bit. That was five minutes and 15 seconds. And what really hit me was how often one of us would say it like, I guess I have to. Like, like we're all, we all have the same illness. It's just start to sound sad.

SPEAKER_15

It's a curtsy. Like you're like, To be, to be to you, to be to you.

SPEAKER_16

Some of those really go off the rails. Yep. I love a whispered one. Oh, it's so fun.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, we love To B and its variations, don't we, folks? We do. What we also love are our wives, his wife, your wives, everyone's wives. And here. Oh, the moment we've all been waiting for. Here's the beginning of that bitch.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 125, Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_18

Oh my god. Hold on. Hold on. Sorry, pause.

SPEAKER_15

My my lovely wife just brought me a mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream and some marshmallows in it. Very nice. Thank you, baby. Tell her to fuck off. We're recording. Hold on. Hold on. You gotta get this. You gotta get this on the microphone. Hold on. Very nice. Very sweet. Now get the fuck out of here. I love you. God damn it, Priscilla. She leaned into the microphone and just said baby groot. What if she would have leaned into it, bone saws?

SPEAKER_16

That video was so funny. Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_17

Oh my god. That's how you're gonna start intercourse from now on, isn't it?

SPEAKER_15

Maybe that's what that's a new segment, is if my wife would uh like to and not by force, bring me a nice little beverage in the middle of everything.

SPEAKER_16

That's a good one. Yeah, it replaces the drink of the movie.

SPEAKER_06

It's kind of a throwaway, right?

SPEAKER_16

Yeah. I think that's when I was doing my from the beginning relisten of comedy bang bang. And for a while it was like an anti-comedy bit, and then it just became like tubi a tick. Like I can't not do it. My wife won't your wife. My wife won't even say the words wife in front of me. She knows what's gonna happen.

SPEAKER_17

Smart lady.

SPEAKER_15

Anytime Priscilla says the word tube or wife around me, she looks at me, she just goes, No, no, don't. Because I start smiling.

SPEAKER_08

Oh man, it's so funny.

SPEAKER_06

And if you guys thought the tube supercut was long, let's listen to the my wife, his wife supercut.

SPEAKER_17

When I mentioned to my wife that we were covering this movie, my wife, she reeled my wife, my wife will stop.

SPEAKER_04

My wife. I watched this with my wife. This was the first time she's ever seen it. And my wife is going to school right now for her master's in psychology. Even like my wife, who is like basically goddammit.

SPEAKER_15

My wife is constantly wanting to go horseback riding. If I was on trial for supposedly murdering my wife and I know I didn't do it. Because my wife would constantly be like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_17

And like, and my my wife was happy. She's like, first time I watched this, me and my wife were both confused.

SPEAKER_15

I apologize to my wife so many times.

SPEAKER_17

My wife was sitting on the couch with me while I was watching this.

SPEAKER_15

So I saw this with my wife. Go ahead, Nathan. My way. His wife.

SPEAKER_17

His wife and Burger. Nice. Small offseason update. I finally watched Shrek for the first time.

SPEAKER_20

Why now?

SPEAKER_17

My wife made me.

SPEAKER_15

That's a good enough reason. His wife. First, my wife of the season from Mali. I know. We've been like 20 minutes in. I was like, Nathan hasn't said it. I was like, all right. It was uh, you know, my wife, Priscilla, and our two kids. My wife.

SPEAKER_11

And we're adding his kids now to the boost.

SPEAKER_15

There is a large gentleman, I mean tall and and big and burly, comes up next to me with his wife and goes, have have you been waiting long? And I go, His wife. His wife, that guy's wife. And I said, I don't know if they had kids or not. His wife, poor his poor wife, is his poor wife. His poor wife. My wife hates them.

SPEAKER_10

I met my lovely wife. His wife, his lovely wife. And she was like, let's go to Halloween horror nights. I love my wife.

SPEAKER_17

My wife, who is German, went 1930. Oh no. Yeah. His wife. His German wife. I don't even think my wife knows we have a Patreon.

SPEAKER_16

His wife. My fiance.

SPEAKER_15

His fiance.

SPEAKER_16

I love my wife.

SPEAKER_15

Recipes, oatmeal. His wife. Not yet, you don't. And as always, I'm about to love my wife. Can I get through the fucking ending of the show? No, we're doing bits, Dustin. We were watching this and my wife was like, own that out. His wife. Yeah. My wife does it around the house now. His wife, etc.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah! Oh, it feels good. I gotta get some dum dum in my mouth.

SPEAKER_06

That's what my wife says all the time.

SPEAKER_16

This is when my wife said that I turned to my wife and said, I really thank you. That being said, my my wife watched it with me for the first time. His wife. My wife. My wife was so mad watching this movie, trying to understand how the powers work. His wife was so mad. My wife. His wife. We gotta bring my wife on. Uh, she loves that movie. My wife.

SPEAKER_15

His wife. My wife just finished Broad Church. His wife. My wife is like, get me a custom robe made.

SPEAKER_16

His wife's like my loving wife. Hates that show so much. His loving wife. My loving wife. Please welcome everybody. My wife! There's also a very specifically dumb reason why I brought my wife onto this episode.

SPEAKER_15

His wife.

SPEAKER_16

Let me let my wife know that I'm not just losing my mind. I'm actually recording the episode. Okay. This is the only way I can record.

SPEAKER_05

So. His wife. His wife.

SPEAKER_16

My wife. By the way, my wife and I, uh on our honeymoon. We went to go see Hugh Jackman.

SPEAKER_15

And I think this is the movie that my wife and I have watched together the most. His wife. His prom date.

SPEAKER_17

Me and my wife were watching like a mob documentary the other day. His wife. Because he says me then his wife.

SPEAKER_10

His wife.

SPEAKER_16

My wife and I are gonna be uh we're gonna be in London.

SPEAKER_10

I watched it with my wife for the first time during the pandemic. My own wife, not JT's.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no, no, we got it. You watched it with my wife? You shut up a bitch. I mean, that's cool, I guess.

SPEAKER_16

Why is his wife funnier than my wife now?

SPEAKER_15

The arc of this season has been so interesting to me. I watched it with Dustin's wife. Dustin's wife.

SPEAKER_18

You know, Alex Wolfe's character was the long game after Charlie got her head cut off.

SPEAKER_15

Right. The long legs game. The long legs game? Thank you. I uh it's the new my wife, I guess. Is the long legs? Um his legs. God damn it.

SPEAKER_17

So my significant other. His significant other. Damn it. I thought I was gonna get around it. My wife.

SPEAKER_15

Go ahead, Nathan. What? So And I love my wife. I love your wife too.

SPEAKER_06

And I love my wife, and I love his wife. I love everyone's wives and kids. Love them all.

SPEAKER_17

Nathan, around season like 13, that's gonna be you. Oh, for sure. It's just gonna be Dustin like whisping in your ear. Say my wife, Nathan. Spoken of prodigal. My wife takes a sip of wine, starts crying.

SPEAKER_20

My wife.

SPEAKER_17

My my god, fucking shit.

SPEAKER_16

My wife. Hell yeah. I live in fear now. My wife.

SPEAKER_17

Not even five minutes in.

SPEAKER_16

So Ashley and I've watched this a bunch of times together. It's one of our comfort movies.

SPEAKER_06

You avoided saying my wife. I saw it.

SPEAKER_16

My betrothed and I watched this movie together. My one-year betrothed uh and I watched this movie together. His betrothed. His betrothed. By the way, I don't know if you can hear listeners when I record an episode now. There's trepidation before I say the phrase my wife. Uh-huh. And I didn't know that I just was fucking terrorizing these men.

SPEAKER_15

I would activate like the winner soldier every time I hear her.

SPEAKER_16

I'm Nathan Simmons, and I want you to say two words. Say my wife.

SPEAKER_15

His wife. And this is this is the Silver Lightings playlist. I have to tell you guys. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Wow woo. I was a vertical.

SPEAKER_04

Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_15

I have to tell you guys, those two super cuts didn't even contain every instance of those bits because I didn't bother, including the ones where we were watching a trailer or a clip in an episode and someone did it. So there's even more out there. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_16

I'm sorry? Like, I don't even know how to like you know, it's there's that episode of the office where Jim is brought in for a disciplinary hearing and they read out every prank he's ever pulled on Dwight. Yeah. And he's like, it stops being funny when you have like everything waved in front of you for like an hour and a half. Yeah. Yeah. That being said, never retiring the bit.

SPEAKER_18

Of course, of course not.

SPEAKER_15

Mally, you actually helped contribute to one of these supercuts as well with the way that you love describing movies. Oh.

SPEAKER_17

There's a white knuckle thrill ride. White knuckle thrill ride.

SPEAKER_15

White knuckle thrill ride. This trailer is a white knuckle thrill ride. White knuckle thrill ride.

SPEAKER_17

This movie is a white knuckle fucking thrill ride. It is a white knuckle thrill ride. White knuckle thrill ride of a movie. Shit, white knuckle thrill ride, guys. White knuckle thrill ride. White knuckle thrill ride. White knuckle thrill ride the moment they hit that iceberg and I was on board. Dude, the Patriot is a white knuckle thrill ride of um the American Revolution. Hell yeah, brother. Hell yeah. And I stand by all of those. I agree.

SPEAKER_11

A white knuckle thrill ride of the American Revolution is so good.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, put it on the American flag. So we've covered a lot of movies on this show, and sometimes those titles can be a little tricky to pronounce.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 149, X.

SPEAKER_18

But let's uh let's go into all the uh details surrounding the movie. X. And uh I didn't like that at all.

SPEAKER_15

What the fuck was that? I did not like that when you turned into a baby for a second. What was that?

SPEAKER_18

That's uh, you know, this movie is the title of it is uh X. And I'm just gonna fucking stop.

SPEAKER_17

I hate everything about that.

SPEAKER_18

So I thought I'd get some assistance with pronouncing the name of the movie, which again is X.

SPEAKER_15

Holy shit. Oh no, that's giving me a fucking Charlie horse in my neck.

SPEAKER_18

But I am excited for Maxine, which for those of you who don't know, this is now going to be a trilogy. Trilogy. There will be a sequel to X called uh Maxine.

SPEAKER_15

I would have lost my fucking mind if you clicked another one and it was like Maxine. I thought I thought about getting uh various reads of just the letter. X. I thought this one was the best one to go with. So what is it from? Uh it's literally if you just look up uh how to pronounce the letter X, you can get a website where users will submit how to pronounce the letter. X. Uh-huh. And I thought this was the best odd to quad. I cringe every time I hear it. Cringe. Like it literally gives me a cramp in my neck. It's a hard title to say, so I needed some assistance. Man. So gonna hate you, DC. To me, my X-Men. Yeah, Ethan can't watch movies with uh title, or it's rated that. So X. You every time I I forget about that. That's what I do. I've waited for my bullets. Son of a bitch. They're going to shoot this porn at this ranch that Wayne has uh we're going all the way back to the fucking beginning. That Wayne is rented. This movie's directed by Ty West. And the movie is called X. And we um I'm coming around to it.

SPEAKER_18

Let's say this. Let's say you watched the movie and uh you weren't too upbeat at the end of it. Uh you were a little dower. What's a movie people can double feature with X that will uh get mad bring them back up and put them in a better mood?

SPEAKER_15

Uh-huh. Uh why don't we start with Kobe? Kobe, what's your double feature to pair with?

SPEAKER_04

X. Oh, man. He went for the fucking hat trick.

SPEAKER_15

Kobe. I really thought about getting a button that just said mix scene for this episode in particular.

SPEAKER_17

Mixine. God, I'd shoot you in the fucking face.

SPEAKER_16

My understanding is that my wife recorded at least one version of her announcing that episode as ix.

SPEAKER_11

Yep. Sure, sure did.

SPEAKER_16

What? Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

But look, look, we like to have fun on the show. And sometimes our guests can do their own bits as well.

SPEAKER_17

From episode Nathan, are you wearing pants? Yeah. Oh, okay. I promise. Making sure.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 129, The Matrix Reloaded.

SPEAKER_26

You remember the the one with uh Jet Li? Yeah. The onslaught of films that came after it. Like who was it? The Jet Lee's The One? Y'all remember that? Yeah. I was a sucker for like anything bullet time. So like when uh Jet Li came out with the one and stuff like that. Or Crowd Tiger Hitting Dragon.

SPEAKER_18

It's the first time hearing about this movie, the one. Where where do you where do you go with that? I don't know.

SPEAKER_15

I mean I'm so happy that I like this bit. This is a good bit.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, no, the fight choreography rules. Yeah. It's it reminded me of the one, honestly.

SPEAKER_06

I still to this day don't know if that was a bit he was doing or not.

SPEAKER_16

I don't know either. Because here's the thing. We we ragged on JT earlier about Halloween, but I think Hauser is our drunkest guest from that episode.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, I think so. Because it's also the episode where his bit part was the bow staff that Keanu uses in the Burley Brawl.

SPEAKER_17

It's god dang, that episode's fun. Wait, is that the same episode where you recorded it and then he lost his audio? Well, that was the one! Oh my god.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, that episode had to be like Frankenstein together, but uh I think it turned out okay. Holy shit. Boy, howdy. Speaking of guests, how great have ours been.

SPEAKER_18

We've gotten really lucky, I think, with the people we've had on our show. Hauser, who you just heard, is one of my favorites, and it's always fun getting his feedback about certain films.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 196, Hell House, LLC.

SPEAKER_15

My first note is speaking of movies, how do we feel about Hitch?

SPEAKER_22

Is that a good movie?

SPEAKER_15

Because they ask about it in the movie in the film. Let's ask John. Can we call him John? Yeah, actually, you know what? We can. I'll call him right now.

SPEAKER_16

Because they talk about they're trying to he's asking her a trivia question about I Am Legend. It's clearly about I Am Legend. She goes, is it Hitch? Oh, well, we are calling John.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, we are actually calling him. Yeah, why not? Make sure he doesn't answer on his work phone. He usually does answer me. Please go straight to voicemail. It might. I was about to say, like, what a dick for not answering, but I wouldn't answer if you called me either.

SPEAKER_25

Your call has been forwarded to voicemail.

SPEAKER_16

Alright, well, here's what's gonna be really funny. JT, now you call him and see how quickly he picks up. There we go. Okay. I'll hit this a death.

SPEAKER_10

This is a good fucking bit.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, we are doing it.

SPEAKER_15

Okay. Yeah, I hitch. I don't think I think I saw it one time on like FX because it was one of those movies that just they had it in rotation. I have no memory of that movie. I it went in one ear and out the other. I don't remember it either.

SPEAKER_10

I've seen it a few times, yeah. I recall Fantastic Four on FX a lot. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_15

There was a bundle of movies at FX. Say that again.

SPEAKER_10

Uh Fantastic Four on FX. Got it. Cut the credits.

SPEAKER_15

There you go. Uh so yeah, I guess the setup for this thing is uh it's a documentary, quote unquote, about uh Wow Hauser. I can't believe you know what the greatest tragedy of all time. I can't believe it. All right, now the fun part was who does he call back? Who does he call back?

SPEAKER_11

Alright, we'll see. We'll see.

SPEAKER_17

He's busy fighting one of his multiversal variants right now. That's right. Oh, oh, look who's calling.

SPEAKER_18

Hey, buddy.

unknown

Hey.

SPEAKER_18

So I I had a quick question for you. We're recording the podcast right now. And uh we're talking about the movie Hellhouse LLC. Did you ever see that?

SPEAKER_05

Hellhouse LLC?

SPEAKER_18

Yeah, the horror movie, the fountain footage one?

SPEAKER_05

No.

SPEAKER_15

Okay. Well, that's besides the point. What about Hitch? Have you seen the movie Hitch with Will Smith?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

So I have one question for you, and it's this. Is Hitch a good movie?

SPEAKER_20

It's an incredible movie.

SPEAKER_15

Incredible movie. Okay. I told you. I told you. That's high praise. That's all we need to know.

SPEAKER_20

Okay.

SPEAKER_15

Alright, thank you very much. Alright, love you, man. Bye. Well, there you have it, folks. He said hell yeah. He's not wrong. Okay, so I hope he calls me back. Ask him the same question if he calls me. I'm gonna ask him the same question. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_16

Hitch is one of the great what did he say in the breed? One of the greatest movies of all time.

SPEAKER_18

So we absolutely needed Hauser's help in determining if Hitch is a good movie or not.

SPEAKER_15

And two of our other favorite guests, Brandy and Jen, needed some help from us when trying to remember who a certain character was at one of the movies they watched with us.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 113, Freddie versus Jason.

SPEAKER_17

Is Mark the only rational person in this movie?

SPEAKER_15

He's really good. Yeah. And his brother is Scott Farkas. Yes, yeah, that's fucking Farkas from a Christmas story.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, is that the one whose whose brother got killed by Freddie before that? Yes. Okay, yeah. I did like him.

SPEAKER_18

Batley, what about you? Best kill.

SPEAKER_15

Um, I okay, I do, so I'm gonna say Linderman's definitely the most devastating. The bed is the most creative. Yeah. Uh I think Mark's is the coolest of my favorite.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, who's Mark?

SPEAKER_15

Exactly.

SPEAKER_03

Who's Mark? Yeah, I don't remember the kids' names.

SPEAKER_15

Mark is the guy in the bathroom.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, that was good.

SPEAKER_15

What about you, Mally? What's your what's your subject? I'm gonna go with Mark wasn't crazy. He was right.

SPEAKER_04

Who is Mark?

SPEAKER_11

We've been through this!

SPEAKER_02

What the fuck is juice?

SPEAKER_11

Holy shit.

SPEAKER_03

You have to remember, we have no attachment to these characters.

SPEAKER_11

Sure.

SPEAKER_19

And this, of course, led to a bit of a prank Nathan and I played on the ladies in their next appearance on the show.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 135, Final Destination 2.

SPEAKER_18

I feel bad for Mark the most out of all these characters. I think he got it the worst.

SPEAKER_03

Who's Mark? Ah! Finally! First!

SPEAKER_06

Nathan and I Nathan and I have been trying to get you guys to say that the whole fucking episode. Oh no. What did I do?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm like, I don't see that name on IDV.

SPEAKER_15

That was just a call back to our Freddie versus Jason episode.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know their names. I'm gonna forget about this movie in ten minutes.

SPEAKER_06

That's okay. That's the whole reason we did it.

SPEAKER_15

We've been Nathan and I, before we started recording, said, Do you think we could convince them that there's a character named Mark in this movie?

SPEAKER_03

You got me because I had no idea.

SPEAKER_15

That's so good. Oh, that I'm so glad that paid off. Oh my god, I didn't think it was gonna happen.

SPEAKER_03

Honestly, unless I'm really, really like distinctively paying attention, I don't usually take away like names from movies. Just clear rivers because it's so stupid. No, that was that was hard.

SPEAKER_15

Oh what a perfect way to wrap up this episode. Thank you. What a great button. Thank you. That was the real silver lining. And since comedy comes in threes, we had to go for the hat trick in another episode that they guessed on.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 190, Madame Webb.

SPEAKER_16

It tries to do too much and nothing at all at the same time. I like I still don't even know what happened to Mark at the end of this one. I don't either. Mark's true. He just kind of disappeared.

SPEAKER_03

Who's Mark? There it is! Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

Yes. Who the fuck is Mark?

SPEAKER_03

I realized as a halfway, I was just singing like fuck.

SPEAKER_06

We got him. Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.

SPEAKER_03

We got him.

SPEAKER_06

Mission accomplished.

SPEAKER_11

Oh god.

SPEAKER_02

God damn it.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, I love those two. Love them.

SPEAKER_16

I think that's my favorite bit. It's pretty good. So rarely that it just feels so good that it works every time.

SPEAKER_19

And they'll be back on later this season as well, if scheduling permits. So hopefully we can make it, you know, we go four for four.

SPEAKER_16

We'll find out if Mark is afraid.

SPEAKER_15

We'll find out. So we talked about our ability to impart wisdom earlier with our if you super cut. And our guest could do that from time to time too, like this moment, where my my lovely wife shared her thoughts on certain cartoons of yesteryear. Oh god.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 194, House, aka Hao Sue.

SPEAKER_16

They talk about him for a full scene, and then when he shows up, I literally said out loud, This guy?

SPEAKER_15

Yeah. This guy that is driving speed buggy, that Hannah Barbera cartoon last fucking vehicle the whole time.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, I did not like that.

SPEAKER_15

Priscilla didn't know who that was, and I had to show it to her last night. I was like, look at this discount shaggy that's Drian's peat bucket.

SPEAKER_23

I didn't like that shit either.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, yeah, discount shaggy was in that. He was in Jabberjaw. Yeah. Priscilla's like, this is what poor people watch as a kid.

SPEAKER_11

You're right.

SPEAKER_15

Jesus Christ. She's not wrong. Damn. But to that point, when they get on the train. Hang on, give Nathan a minute. You're right. You're right. I'll give a second. Give Nathan a minute.

SPEAKER_06

It is, it is like you, if you didn't have cable, you got speed buggy, jabberjaw, and all those cartoons.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, because I was poor and I did watch Jabberjaw.

unknown

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_23

I like to tell Dustin what poor kids watch. I feel the same about Tom and Jerry.

SPEAKER_17

Jesus Christ.

unknown

Really got me.

SPEAKER_16

Well, it just feels like uh if a if you were a poor kid and made a horror.

SPEAKER_06

I I literally had to describe like, oh yeah, speed buggy. He would like uh stutter, but it would sound like he was backfiring. She's like, what the fuck are you talking about? I want this shot of the speed buggy where Mr. Togo pulls up just to go poor kids.

SPEAKER_23

I want a divorce. I want a divorce.

SPEAKER_06

Jesus. I gotta let you guys know she still feels the same exact way.

SPEAKER_16

Oh no, she's a woman of principles. She's never gonna back down from that. I love it.

SPEAKER_06

And it's so funny because she did not grow up with cable. So I'm like, you're one of these pork kids.

SPEAKER_16

Do you know the reason I have her phone number is because she texted me angrily when we were watching Showgirls 2?

SPEAKER_19

I do remember that.

SPEAKER_16

She is ingrained in the DNA of this show.

SPEAKER_15

Nathan, that moment really got you.

SPEAKER_18

It made me ask myself, what is the moment Nathan's laugh the hardest on the show? Oh god.

SPEAKER_15

And I think I found it.

SPEAKER_17

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 196, Hell House, LLC.

SPEAKER_16

We spent a solid hour just texting Hellhouse alternate titles to each other.

SPEAKER_15

Moss could not contain himself last night. He was just blowing up a store about alternate titles for this movie.

SPEAKER_10

I'm trying to split them up throughout the show. Sure, sure, sure. This is my bit.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah. Well, so they're so they're driving there. They run out of gas and have to stop at the shell house.

SPEAKER_15

That one I improved upon. That was one of yours, yeah. They can't get any phone signals, so the Alexander Graham Bell House isn't going to be into material.

SPEAKER_10

I need some fucking gas from the shell house after driving away from the hellhouse. There you go.

SPEAKER_05

Well, so whatever you don't get through, we'll just have a segment at the end of all your alternate titles.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, just run them through it. I got so scared I shit my pants and it turned into a smell house.

SPEAKER_15

God, this is the worst bit for sure. I like it.

SPEAKER_18

You know what this franchise needs since we've already got five entries is what if they did a haunted house but for blind people? And they can call it Braille House Hell.

SPEAKER_06

I wrote the dungeon so long ago.

SPEAKER_11

Nathan's gone, by the way. Sorry, I threw my headphones at the desk.

SPEAKER_15

Could you imagine though?

SPEAKER_06

Like a blind guy with a fucking phone.

SPEAKER_20

I'll just I'm sorry, that was dope.

SPEAKER_17

We could move on. I mean, you wouldn't have to worry about lighting the motherfucker.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, you'd save so much money. Nathan might pass out. Nathan is not okay.

SPEAKER_05

Did you see the thing where Playboy back in the 80s or something like that put out a braille copy? Yep. And then it goes to like a dude reading it. He's like, oh, sorry, guys.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, this girl's fine as hellhouse LLC.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, God. Hellhouse. More like Nacho Bel Grande, how?

SPEAKER_16

Thank you. What was that? I'm gonna just go ahead and throw this one out there. Uh the what was it, the Spice Girls one that I had? That was so good. That one was so sweaty. Terrible. They hired a couple of Spice Girls as scare actors. Call that Mel B and Mel C house Mel Mel B C.

SPEAKER_10

They're getting the U.S. Postal Service, so I'm gonna need to turn this hell house into a male house.

SPEAKER_16

Okay, you know what? Did you hear a guy got an apple shot off his head in the William Tell house?

SPEAKER_11

Enough!

SPEAKER_16

Enough!

SPEAKER_06

We gotta move on. We gotta move on. Oh god.

SPEAKER_20

Hey, boy.

SPEAKER_17

So anyway. Wait, hang hang on, DC. Real quick, can we stop for a second? My computer's frozen. I need to fucking take it. You need to get a delay.

SPEAKER_11

I quit.

SPEAKER_20

I quit.

SPEAKER_10

While he's gone, I got more. I'm gonna pitch a sequel. So Tucker and Dale versus Evil, the characters from that, Tucker and Dale, versus the demons of Hellhouse. Okay, is that it? So it's Tucker and Dale House versus the Hell House.

SPEAKER_15

God damn it. Tucker and Dale House. God damn it. Tucker and Dale House versus Evil LLC. I think Dustin had a Dragon Ball Z one too. I don't remember. Who fucking cares? It was the Cell Game spot at the Cell House.

SPEAKER_13

That one was so fucking good. Yes.

SPEAKER_15

Okay, I'm done. I'm sorry. Super Saiyan 2 go on, baby. This is the closest I've ever seen Dustin to like just stopping a record.

SPEAKER_05

Dustin, I have a major delay on my shit, by the way. I know we're having issues, like technical issues with uh Malle.

SPEAKER_11

Don't you fucking do it.

SPEAKER_05

Don't you do it. But if you're bigger set, no, don't fucking do it. No, I know this is not a bit. Like, I didn't mean to click the babe weight thing. And it just It's fine.

SPEAKER_10

Diane goes into the room, sees Sarah sitting despondently. Uh-huh. Some good vocab there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

We're so proud of everybody.

SPEAKER_15

I love that we have our guest doing the job of the host. Moss used to speak at Spellhouse. Alright.

SPEAKER_11

Enough of this.

SPEAKER_06

This is our dumbest episode we've ever done.

SPEAKER_15

I hate it. And I can't wait to re-listen to it. How else was this gonna get to an hour and 30 minutes? How else LLP?

SPEAKER_18

I have some ideas of what they could do with Hellhouse now that it's like been uh, you know, fortified and condemned and everything. They should reopen it. Maybe make it a gay club, call it Mail House. Hell yeah. They could make it into like a health facility that sells smoothies, call it Kale House.

SPEAKER_15

Uh I'm just trying to just cross it off my list here.

SPEAKER_16

Is that what you were doing this whole time you were writing shit down?

SPEAKER_15

I thought you were just dissociating.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, both. I was doing a little column A, a little call of B. Or wait, they could open it as a sex club and call it Nail House. There you go. See? Or hardware store if we really want to go with that too. Either way. Well, or both. You could cross those streams.

SPEAKER_16

Ninja Dojo for Psy users, call it Raphael House.

SPEAKER_15

That's the one. That's the one. Guys, I think this the audience has uh had enough of their uh feel of this bit. I think they've been quail house.

SPEAKER_06

Truly our dumbest moment, right?

SPEAKER_05

Jesus Christ. Dude, I absolutely love it when Dustin just gives up.

SPEAKER_17

It's one of my favorite things. Even while listening back to the bit, Dustin looked so upset.

SPEAKER_19

Yes. Just like enough.

unknown

Enough.

SPEAKER_16

It's either that or us listening to the Yoda ketamine ASMR. That's our famous moment of the entire show. Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Yep. Like you can see Dustin just give up and just, you know, full on in the Ohhouse LLC.

SPEAKER_15

Alright, boys, I think it's time for another out-of-context super cut, don't you? Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_10

Do you think Humphrey Bogart ever had orange soda?

SPEAKER_15

Oh no. Okay, we'll rise again, but it's okay. And then he finishes. And then there you go.

SPEAKER_24

Slay, Queen, this movie be bussin'.

SPEAKER_15

Suck my ass, we're HBO.

SPEAKER_16

Jesus Christ. Does it bum you out that you'll become an ugly? Again, I ask you, how did we let Larry the cable guy happen?

SPEAKER_15

Why don't we, me, you, and Mally, ever jerk off in a line together like this? Look up Mr. Beast. Look up Mr. Beast Minecraft's uh feet.

SPEAKER_13

I'm a wider. I hope you enjoy the books.

SPEAKER_16

There's a bit when she's writing him and he's just like, stop. I don't like racism.

SPEAKER_15

Oh god, that was awful. JT, look how hot this kid is. Don't take that, don't take that as the context. These are gonna be on the soundboard, right? Yeah, I should put these on the soundboard. Every single one of them.

SPEAKER_16

JT, look at how hot this kid is. Is maybe the moment referenced the most in our Discord.

SPEAKER_11

It sure is. It sure is.

SPEAKER_16

People are constantly tagging JT and being like, look at this.

SPEAKER_15

That's gotta stop. JT, you just have to look at them. Just look at them.

SPEAKER_18

So I'm sure you guys remember, but I had a moment during season five where I decided to watch the leftovers for the first time. Oh, yes. And a similar thing happened in season eight with Twin Peaks, which eventually led to me watching all of that series in like two weeks and eventually putting Firewalk with me on the schedule.

SPEAKER_15

Twin Peaks. With JT being an unwitting experiment when he had to watch Firewalk with me after watching zero Twin Peaks before that. Oh man. So let's listen to how that went.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 202, Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me.

SPEAKER_05

The only thing that makes sense is that I was definitely supposed to watch the show. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then and then Dustin said, okay, I'm gonna go ahead and say something. Answer one of these questions. You were a hundred percent supposed to watch the show. Yeah. And I I'd never hit Dustin. Okay? Never. But the fact that you set me up for the most confusing two and a half hours.

SPEAKER_15

Oh my gosh. Can I defend myself? Can I defend myself for that?

SPEAKER_05

No, no, you can't.

SPEAKER_16

Would it surprise you to learn that since David Bowie was uh secretly dying of cancer, he asked David Lynch to recast his part, and David Lynch recast Philip Jeffries with a giant tea kettle.

SPEAKER_15

A giant tea kettle that spurts out riddles via smoke. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_16

And st and still speaks with a New Orleans accent.

SPEAKER_15

He does. But he also only appears in a motel room that's only accessible via a door that leads to the backyard of a house that's located above a mystical convenience store. Would all of that surprise you? No. So I'm so defeated.

SPEAKER_16

That's almost exactly what Ashley said when I told her last night.

SPEAKER_15

He appears as a tea kettle. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

It's just so it's so exhausting.

SPEAKER_15

So I played that clip because since then, JT, you've actually watched the first two seasons of the show, right? Okay. Really?

SPEAKER_05

No, no. I am actually um I'm halfway through season two. I will say that. Okay. Does Nadine have superpowers yet?

SPEAKER_15

Dude. Can we talk about that? Yes. Speak on it. Dude, we can talk for eight hours about Nadine in season two.

SPEAKER_05

So the thing I'm doing with Dustin is I'll like text him, like, I'll be like, Diane, find out exactly what pills Nadine took when she committed suicide. Because now she has fucking superpowers.

SPEAKER_16

Oh man. Yeah, you and I have got uh we gotta just get on like FaceTime and talk about Twin Peaks for a little bit.

SPEAKER_05

I will say it has slowed, like to me, it has slowed down since uh after the Leland situation.

SPEAKER_15

Oh yeah, that's that's just in general. Yeah, yeah. I don't want to say anything in case if any of the listeners haven't seen it. Are we reenacting the Civil War yet? Oh Jesus. Yes, he just won.

SPEAKER_05

Oh good. Fantastic. We are at the part where I'm pretty sure They will rise again. One of the three girls are about to be kidnapped. Oh they just met at the roadhouse. So that's where I'm at, so no spoilers afterwards. Sure, okay.

SPEAKER_06

But you're liking the show?

SPEAKER_05

Okay, so yes, I am enjoying it because it is such a I don't know how to explain it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, no one else does either.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I don't I get it now.

SPEAKER_16

Do we agree that Bobby Briggs is the greatest character of all time? Yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Alright, fellas, I think it's time we stop fucking around. The real reason why people are here is they want to hear some.

SPEAKER_17

That's the line, really? That's the fucking around line. Alright, an hour and a half in.

SPEAKER_15

The real reason why people are here is that they want to hear some outstanding, unforgettable TSLP defining moments from the show.

SPEAKER_18

And god damn it, we're gonna give it to them, starting with one of the best.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 208, Halloween 2, 1981.

SPEAKER_18

Bud pretends to be a patient and sets off the little alarm, you know, to alert the nurses that he needs something. Yeah. Nurse Karen comes in to see what's up and he jump scares her. And my question is, who did Nurse Karen think was in this room? Right. If there was a patient in there that she's supposed to be keeping after, where is that patient?

SPEAKER_16

Where did they go? Oh shit. He's like, I'm discharging you because Bud's got a boner emergency.

SPEAKER_06

He's got all that come at his balls. I gotta get it out of them real quick.

SPEAKER_11

We gotta come emergency set off the alarm. Come emergency. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_20

Shut the fuck up.

SPEAKER_11

Help me. Nurse, help me. Nurse. Nurse, please. Oh Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_06

Alright, so that's a bit the show, everybody.

SPEAKER_15

Thank you for listening. I'm glad this show is ending for a few buttons. God.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know what this button does. Ten! Nine! Nurse, please! Hey! Seven! Six! Five! Four!

SPEAKER_11

Nurse, please! I can't! The show's gone! So stupid.

SPEAKER_15

It is so stupid.

SPEAKER_11

I'm crying.

SPEAKER_06

Anyway.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, this stab is terrible. I don't know where this missing patient went. Or if if if there was no patient and she heard this alarm go off, and she knows there's a murderer out, my first instinct would be to call the police or get the fuck out of there. But anyway.

SPEAKER_18

I do kind of like these empty long shots of the empty hospital. I I believe in Kundi supremacy. I think this sets a great tone similar to that first movie.

SPEAKER_17

Why is the hospital so fucking empty?

SPEAKER_15

I couldn't tell you that.

SPEAKER_16

It is a nice through line to all the you know the empty shots of the Strode house and the Doyle house in the first one.

SPEAKER_05

One thing I've noticed is that this hospital is called a clinic a few times. Yeah. And so it makes me wonder if was it supposed to be just like a clinic, which I could see being empty. Like a smaller building.

SPEAKER_15

But there's like a maternity ward, there's separate wings of this place.

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_16

There's a com extraction unit.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah, the CEU. It was very important.

SPEAKER_11

Law and order CEU.

SPEAKER_15

There's some very heinous crimes that happened at this hospital.

SPEAKER_20

Oh God.

SPEAKER_15

So Lori has this dream. These are their stories. And dude, it is so fucking funny.

SPEAKER_16

Yes, Nathan. We're never gonna finish this movie if I keep making a couple jokes.

SPEAKER_17

No, no. Go ahead. Go ahead. I got loads of them.

unknown

We don't have to do it right now.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, you need to visit the CEU then, right?

SPEAKER_19

Oh man. God.

SPEAKER_05

We got merch out of that.

SPEAKER_16

We did get merch. You know what? Since then, CEUs have popped up all over the nation. We brought attention to a very important subject.

SPEAKER_15

Uh-huh. You're welcome. You're welcome. You're welcome, America. Take a load off, America. Here's a more recent one that Nathan took upon himself to carry out.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 210, Broke Back Mountain.

SPEAKER_16

There's no drink of the film, but I am gonna pop open a can of beans. Oh yeah, baby. Drink it.

SPEAKER_07

Drink it though.

SPEAKER_16

I might eat them on mic, huh?

SPEAKER_06

No. I'm gonna throw up. Chug it. Chug it.

SPEAKER_15

Chug it. Chug it. Chug it. Yeah, show Michael Myers' boss. You're gonna chug beans while he chugs peanut butter. No, put that spoon down.

SPEAKER_17

This man is eating cold beans. Alex, don't see this shit. Wait, hold on. Begs the question. Refried or baked?

SPEAKER_16

Um, they're the baked beanie weenies. Oh god, that room's gonna smell crazy. And update, they taste like shit.

SPEAKER_14

Yeah, of course they do.

SPEAKER_15

You're eating cold beans. Anything for the bit. At least Anderson Jack had the good graces to fucking heat them up over a campfire. And I'm washing them down with a pink Pinot Grigio like a piece of shit.

SPEAKER_04

What the fuck is happening in Florida?

SPEAKER_15

Dog, you're gonna have to leave halfway through this episode. They head up to the mountain, set up camp, herd the sheep, and basically just waste time for a couple of weeks dicking around. Nathan's got a mouthful of beans.

SPEAKER_16

Okay, I may not have had dinner yet, so um country boys make do, is what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_17

Uh, I haven't had dinner yet either, and I'm not huffing down beans.

SPEAKER_15

What I have to say now, Nathan, is you've realized you've gotten to the point in this bit of eating these beans where at the end you are gonna have to drink bean water. I hope you've you've come full circle and you've realized that.

SPEAKER_16

Oh no, it was green bean water.

SPEAKER_15

I know, but bean water all the same.

SPEAKER_16

You're right, you're right. That is maybe the most obscure callback you can make.

SPEAKER_15

I know, I know, I'm cherry picking here. No, but I do love it. I'm considering getting myself a can of beans. Let the white trash flow through you.

SPEAKER_16

Okay, fine. One sec. Oh my god, he's gonna chug the beans. We got him to do it. If I do this and then we can just talk about the movie, I know it's my fault.

SPEAKER_06

David, this is an audio medium. This is only for us here in the room that we see.

SPEAKER_15

That's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

SPEAKER_20

Oh my god!

SPEAKER_05

You know what? I gotta give him props. I gotta give it to him.

SPEAKER_16

You know, this is a movie that matters to people. I know!

SPEAKER_17

Wait, wait, wait. Pause real quick. One more thing. Take your shirt off.

SPEAKER_11

He's gonna throw off guys, he's gonna do it! I didn't like it. You look so sick! I didn't like it.

SPEAKER_15

You look like you're having the worst fucking time. I like it. God damn it, Nathan. God damn it. He went three fucking seconds. Those are room temperature at this point. Room temperature. No, stop. Nathan's like, can we please hurt rant this up? I'm hungry. Anyway. You look so miserable. That's just my face, baby.

SPEAKER_06

Nathan, I think that may be your legacy on this show is eating fucking beans on.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, I gotta tell you, I have not eaten beanie weenies since then. No one's blaming you, man.

SPEAKER_15

Uh, you've had your full?

SPEAKER_16

I don't think I've eaten since then.

SPEAKER_15

I think that was it. God. Speaking of food, how about a bit that everybody had a chance to have some fun with? Oh boy.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 200, Back to the Future Part 2.

SPEAKER_18

Bob Gown's Zemeckus realized in the first movie that Michael J. Fox's character had no like Achilles heel. He had no He's kind of a a Mary Sue, basically. Sure.

SPEAKER_15

And so they're like, Well, give him this one little thing that we're like, you can be like, uh, I bet you're not gonna suck my dick dog, you fucking chicken.

SPEAKER_06

And he's like, Hold on, drop the pants right here before like you can get him to do anything if you call this man 'cause he's like twenty eight playing a sixteen year old a chicken.

SPEAKER_11

If there was a scene in this movie where Griff said, I bet you're not gonna suck my dick, you chicken.

SPEAKER_15

And then it just cuts to a wide shot, and there's like two shadows against a brick wall in an alley.

SPEAKER_05

That'll show you to call me a chicken again.

SPEAKER_17

As he's wiping his mouth.

SPEAKER_11

It's not gonna suck itself, McFly! Oh my god! Cut to the newspaper changing. The newspaper changing would be hilarious. I'm like sweating and laughing so hard.

SPEAKER_15

Oh my god. The newspaper changes back to his son going back to jail. And then it says Marty McFly honored. Marty McFly Jr. found dead.

SPEAKER_05

That one axe sucking his dick.

SPEAKER_17

No, it just cuts to the newspaper like announcements, and it's like Marty McFly, who recently married his mother. Oh god.

SPEAKER_05

I'm sorry, boys. I kind of like the idea of just something that makes no sense given the bullshit outcome. Oh god.

SPEAKER_15

God, it's so funny. And the Cubs win the 2016 World Series. Marty, I wish we hadn't brought Jennifer for this. What's your gag reflex like?

SPEAKER_07

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_17

Great Scott. Wait, quick, Marty. Don't swallow. Spit it into the Mr. Fusion. Come on! They drive by and you know see the aftermath of that. Sure. And then George calls Paifa chicken. I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_06

Get in the car, stupid, you fucking chicken.

SPEAKER_15

You think I won't suck my dad off? Unzips his pants. Oh god, 200 episodes, boys.

SPEAKER_16

This show has gotten worse. Oh 100%. And also, uh uh, Mr. McFly, there's a post script that says uh you'll kiss me if you're not a chicken.

SPEAKER_15

It says you'll kiss me, and it's written in like crayon. Yeah, it's written in a whole different color t.

SPEAKER_20

Zip.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, God. I think that's the clip I've re-listened to the most from the show. It's pretty good. It makes me laugh so hard every time. That and the Hellhouse LLC off is so good.

SPEAKER_15

Well, here's one that's somewhat of a warning when it comes to using Google Images. Oh no.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 123, Paranormal Activity.

SPEAKER_18

Speaking of that, I don't know why this just made me think of this. I know you guys are gonna think I'm fucking crazy, but I remember in high school once I was doing a school project and I was in the the uh the school library. This isn't gonna end well. I had to pull brand names, like images of brand. And this was like when Google Images was like not great and was still kind of new. Sure. I remember I had to get a picture of a bag of Doritos for a project I was working on. Like that was the image I needed. Yeah. And I'm not kidding. I Googled the word Doritos or one of the images.

SPEAKER_15

I don't I don't know if it's still there. I'm gonna I doubt it. Oh no, oh no.

SPEAKER_18

I'm gonna try it now.

SPEAKER_15

Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_18

Oh no. Oh well we can watch it. Yes. I I don't I I can't imagine it's still like this because this was like over a decade ago. But I'm so scared.

SPEAKER_22

I hope it's still there. I hope it hasn't changed at all.

SPEAKER_18

Let me let me just Google and then I'll describe what it was. Just the word Doritos, okay. Okay, no, so you just get pictures of bags. So what I got was it was a picture of a woman.

SPEAKER_15

Oh no. Oh no, oh no. Eating a bag Doritos, like a side-by-like like a before and after.

SPEAKER_18

Before it was normal. It was just her and and and like some clothes, just eating a bag of Doritos. And the after was this morbidly obese naked woman with Doritos dust all over her. And I'm like, how is this on Google Image?

SPEAKER_16

On the front page of Google Image.

SPEAKER_15

On the it was like the it was like the fourth result. Oh wow. Wait a minute.

SPEAKER_16

Nope. No, that's not it. You keep scrolling down and I'm getting scared. Stop.

SPEAKER_15

I know I'm terrified. Why is why is Aaron Paul?

SPEAKER_16

Aaron Paul loves Doritos.

SPEAKER_15

Bitch. Man, I could go for some Doritos right now. Wait. What is this pink bag? Terry.

SPEAKER_22

Stop that.

SPEAKER_15

That sounds disgusting.

SPEAKER_16

I want some cheddar goblin flavored Doritos.

SPEAKER_18

Oh, hey, look. Shout out Claire Gourmet Makes. It's a great episode. Yeah. I guess this image isn't on here. Maybe I'm a dirty fucking liar. Maybe it just makes sense.

SPEAKER_15

Maybe you can just find it for us and send it over. Please don't. I'm going to keep looking. I'm going to keep looking. What if I type Doritos in SFW? What do you think we can do?

SPEAKER_17

Oh, God. I mean, I don't know, but I want to find out.

SPEAKER_15

Ashley, turn your screen off.

SPEAKER_17

Ashley, you fucking watch.

SPEAKER_15

We're going to do a clockwork orange style here. We're all going to fucking start.

SPEAKER_22

I was going to say, I've got the eye things on from clockwork orange. I can't look away.

SPEAKER_15

This is the modified Ludovico right here. We're doing the Doritos. Dorito Vico treatment.

SPEAKER_17

It's going to be Dorito dust on a dick. You think so? I can't.

SPEAKER_22

I don't want to leave.

SPEAKER_15

I'm so scared. Here we go. Oh, it's going to be so cheesy. Oh, that was disappointing. I mean, there is a there is a busty Dorito waifu.

SPEAKER_16

I like this.

SPEAKER_22

I don't know those.

SPEAKER_16

Dorito and Mountain Dew Gamer Girls on Newgrounds.com.

SPEAKER_15

I just got lightheaded. This is going to be our new logo, by the way.

SPEAKER_13

Our new logo.

SPEAKER_15

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Don't care for that. Yep, that replaces the spooky linings from Jack-o-Lantern.

SPEAKER_22

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_15

Wow, you can tell the dude wrote this joke. It's a picture of a woman naked in a bathtub full of Doritos.

SPEAKER_17

It's the Doritos Dust playlist.

SPEAKER_16

And it says ideal situation. Just get that chick out of the way.

SPEAKER_15

Am I right, fellas? So I can eat my bathtub full of Doritos. Oh, Ashley, I'm sorry this is the episode, you're on. No, I'm not. This is fantastic. This is perfect. Guys, this is fantastic.

SPEAKER_22

Oh, look at that. That's wow. Can we stop?

SPEAKER_15

Matt, you're not into this. No, I'm just hungry. I am.

SPEAKER_22

Wait, does that say Dorito competition? Oh, never mind.

SPEAKER_16

That's Cool Ranch Cologne up there. You don't like this gif right here?

SPEAKER_17

This woman just fucking hate cool ranch.

SPEAKER_16

I loved those guacamole flavored Doritos. Those are good.

SPEAKER_22

We got two dudes sharing a Dorito.

SPEAKER_16

Yes, a giant Dorito meeting in the middle, Lady in the Tramp style. I love it.

SPEAKER_13

How romantic. This is the best thing ever.

SPEAKER_16

Doritos and Mountain Dew ramen.

SPEAKER_15

Audio podcast, guys. I don't even care that this is an audio-only podcast. Oh no, guys. Is she giving birth to Doritos?

SPEAKER_22

Stop. Stop. Guys. I need you to stop.

SPEAKER_15

That's Paula Pell from uh from AP Bio. This is a s this is a Super Bowl ad? Wait, did that baby just like hard kick out of the womb? It did.

SPEAKER_22

It pushed off.

SPEAKER_15

Look right here. You can see the little on her belly. Look, watch. Whoa. That's some possessor shit. Oh. And someone says go long.

SPEAKER_22

I cannot feel good.

SPEAKER_15

There's a Doritos Pokemon card. I felt my new wallpaper for Bray. Doritos.

SPEAKER_18

Doritos everywhere. I'm sorry, this is what we turned into, but this is fantastic. Oh no.

SPEAKER_22

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_18

Actually, I take it back.

SPEAKER_15

Oh. God damn. That made that made Nathan cackle.

SPEAKER_17

Oh man. Man, Dustin's saving a lot of images.

SPEAKER_22

I am so glad I'm on this episode.

SPEAKER_16

Princess Zelda wearing a Doritos Danny Dorito.

SPEAKER_22

Dorito. Danny Dorito. Saving all these.

SPEAKER_16

This is the hardest I think I've ever heard Dustin Lap since I told the story about the mom telling her kid I'm gonna take them to jail when I worked at Borders.

SPEAKER_17

Dorito flavored mouthwash. Oh, gross.

SPEAKER_22

Well, this has been fun.

SPEAKER_11

Dustin. You okay, bro?

unknown

Nope.

SPEAKER_22

We're stuck on the Dorito mouthwash.

SPEAKER_14

Alright, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta change the page. I can't.

SPEAKER_06

Man, I forgot all about Daddy Dorito.

SPEAKER_17

Jesus Christ. God. I really want some Doritos now. I got a bag sitting on the shelf next to me, son. Hell yeah. Putting them right in the fucking trash.

SPEAKER_19

And finally, speaking more about food, here's one that JT actually initiated that had some staying power on the show.

SPEAKER_16

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 102, Halloween, The Curse of Michael Myers.

SPEAKER_15

Are we gonna talk about the mask? I like the mask. I kind of like it. No, I mean he's fat as shit in this movie, but. Like we're talking about Michael's mask. Yes. You like it? It's okay. Like compared to Four and Five's mask, it's much better. He's so big and fucking that wild hair is so ridiculous.

SPEAKER_05

Well I don't know. His neck looks like he can drink peanut butter.

SPEAKER_17

Like that compared with how like Loki thick he is, it takes away from all like all the creepiness of those classic look out the window and see Michael shots. I mean it takes all the creepiness away from it.

SPEAKER_05

Look, it's still not H4 though.

SPEAKER_15

It's he looks like uh he looks like Chris Redfield in the new Resident Evil 8 trailer. I mean, in Halloween 5, his head is so much smaller than his body. So I think it's an improvement.

SPEAKER_11

Drink peanut butter.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 119, Halloween 2018.

SPEAKER_15

Do you think Michael's a JIF guy or a skippy guy? No, Michael. He's Jif, dude. Are you still- I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_16

Skippy. Are you kidding me? Uh a scamp of this level, Michael eats Peter Pan peanut butter.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, wait, wait. Actually, actually, I'll take that back. Okay, um, Halloween four's Michael Myers uh is a skippy guy.

SPEAKER_15

That's a skippy Michael. Absolutely. Oh, that's a skippy guy.

SPEAKER_16

The one who always looks like he's asking who me.

SPEAKER_17

You know Halloween Resurrection, Michael, though, is like he's eating that Reese's peanut butter, which was disgusting.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, and then Rob Zombie's uh Michael Myers eats goobers, like the mix between.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, it's like peanut butter and jelly. I was just gonna say the same thing. No, that motherfucker is just like he's eating peanuts in water. Yeah, he's eating almond butter and washing it down with water.

SPEAKER_17

He's eating peanuts like they were fucking cereal.

SPEAKER_15

He's popping peanuts like Advil or something. He's like fox molder just dropping the shells everywhere.

SPEAKER_22

And from episode 136, Halloween ends.

SPEAKER_17

We always joke about like, oh, which kind of peanut butter peanut butter does this Michael eat this? No, he doesn't eat it. He uses it as lubrication. Absolutely. Yeah. Can't fucking breathe. As dumb as the little sounds like sounds like Jimothy's using some peanut butter right now.

SPEAKER_15

He started the peanut butter trend. Don't back out now. This is the final movie.

SPEAKER_06

I'm drinking peanut butter is stuck in my mind since for years now.

SPEAKER_16

I think about that every time I buy peanut butter.

SPEAKER_17

Sorry. I think about it every time I look at the jar of peanut butter that's just sitting on my counter. I'm sorry. It's staring at you like the green goblin mask. Well, you know, I just like to have it there as a little protein boost, you know what I'm saying? Of course. Spread me on the bread.

SPEAKER_15

Alright, boys. I wanted to briefly run down some observations that we've had in real time on the show while discussing a movie. So here we go. Oh boy. In trap, Nathan's brain broke when he realized a plot hole prevents the entire movie from happening.

SPEAKER_17

This is one of my favorite moments of all time.

SPEAKER_15

In The Whale, I posited the notion that since Jehovah's Witnesses believe only 144,000 people can get into heaven, they should probably keep that shit a secret.

SPEAKER_20

Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_15

The Dead Zone. I pointed out to Nathan that that movie is by all accounts a remake of the room because the main character is named Johnny. He's in love with a woman who has a son named Denny, and she's sleeping around even though she's in a relationship. Incredible. Halloween 2 from 1981. Nathan, you in particular had a real hard time accepting the fact that the babies in the hospital nursery are probably dead since part of the hospital blows up in extraordinary fashion and all the staff are dead. That would have helped them anyway.

SPEAKER_16

And there's smoke everywhere.

SPEAKER_18

From La La Land, Mally, you and I were discussing who that movie wouldn't appeal to, to which I noted the alt-right probably wouldn't like it because it has wait for it too much color. And in kids Incredible.

SPEAKER_15

Incredible.

SPEAKER_18

In kids, when trying to think of a silver lining, Mally suggested there was at least one positive thing to say about the movie's ending, Jenny. Because she has HIV.

SPEAKER_16

God. Nathan put his hand in his hands for that one. I think that's the movie I'm the most grateful I didn't have to cover on the show.

SPEAKER_17

Well, no, isn't next season? Aren't we redoing all the pre-Nathan movies? Season one episodes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Greatest hits, kids. Number one. TSLP the remixes, you know what I'm saying? Jeez.

SPEAKER_18

So, fellas, we've had a lot of laughs so far, and plenty more to come in this episode. But you know, since we've been a podcast for a decade now, a lot of things have changed in society and in the zeitgeist, so I thought we should pay respects to some things that have come and gone in that time. So please join me in a moment of reflection during our in memoriam.

SPEAKER_16

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_11

I'm so excited.

SPEAKER_25

I was hoping it was the song. No. The DCEU. The Dark Universe. The Fantastic Beasts franchise. Yes! Game of Thrones.

SPEAKER_11

Fuck you.

SPEAKER_25

Stranger Things. The boys. And all of them had satisfying endings. Bla La Land's Best Picture Oscar. The Democratic Bond era.

SPEAKER_07

Wow.

SPEAKER_25

The Error's Tour. The Errors Tour movie. The Don't Worry Darling Press Tour. The Glasgow Wheeler Maker Experience. The Fire Festival. The Fire Festival documentaries. The Tiger King craze.

SPEAKER_09

Wow.

SPEAKER_25

Everyone's fixation on making sourdough bread from scratch. Talk to a talk to a WTF with Mark Marin. Fine. Twitter. Quiby. Jesus. Adobe Flash. Internet Explorer.

SPEAKER_20

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_25

The Yodeling Walmart Kid. Monolith in the Desert.

SPEAKER_07

Wow.

SPEAKER_25

The Titan Summersible. Spirit Airlines. The YouTube dislike button.

SPEAKER_05

Bring it back.

SPEAKER_25

The Facebook poke button. Wait, they brought that back? Seriously? NFTs.

SPEAKER_16

All my apes gone.

SPEAKER_25

The C D Costco churros. Wait, they had churros.

SPEAKER_16

That was her genuine reaction.

SPEAKER_25

Panera's charged lemonades.

SPEAKER_16

Oh man.

SPEAKER_25

The grimace shake. Best buy. What? Still around, but seriously, who goes there anymore? Roseanne. She didn't die, but y you get it. Ellen. J.K. Rowling. Salt Bay. Drake's career. Connie West's grip on reality.

SPEAKER_17

Holy shit.

SPEAKER_25

Alex Jones's ownership of InfoBoars.

SPEAKER_15

Good.

SPEAKER_25

Prince Harry's relationship with the royal family. Police brutality. After all, Kendall Jenner ended it with that Pepsi ad. The time before AI Slop. Movie theater etiquette. Believing in science.

SPEAKER_16

This is so good.

SPEAKER_25

Basic accountability. Democracy. And of course, Oatmeal the Rabbit.

SPEAKER_15

Boys, I've been sitting on that for weeks and it's killing me that I wasn't able to share it with you until now.

SPEAKER_05

So this is getting posted so everybody can see, right?

SPEAKER_15

Oh yes. Oh yes. It will be on YouTube and all the socials, of course.

SPEAKER_16

Mally, do you have that gunshot sound effect? Because I think I'm done.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, no, I was gonna mention you left at Arbor.

SPEAKER_05

So who do y'all think?

SPEAKER_16

Might have to bleep to that one. Real talk. I need a text tone of just Priscilla saying Hoktua.

SPEAKER_15

I have to tell you, we had to record Hoktua and Talk Tua like 17 times because I could not stop laughing.

SPEAKER_11

She's so sincere when she says it. It's so funny.

SPEAKER_06

Yep. It's the one two punched because of the hocktua. You're like, oh, that's pretty funny. And then Toktua.

SPEAKER_16

There's a change in intention. Hoktua. Talk to a really got me.

SPEAKER_17

The Churros one fucking killed me.

SPEAKER_06

The Churos one was so funny because she realized that in real time as she was reading the script. That was a deadwood reaction.

SPEAKER_05

That's so good.

SPEAKER_06

God.

SPEAKER_15

I really wish it was the third something about Hoktua, so like it was a good prequel there. There should be a Star Trek podcast called Spock Tua. Oh my god. It's not too late to start it.

SPEAKER_16

Patreon.

SPEAKER_15

It is impossible to put it to words how I feel about losing so many of those things of people over the past 10 years.

SPEAKER_18

But I think if I had to use a phrase to express how I feel about it, Mallie, the way you pay condolences is probably the best way.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 149, X.

SPEAKER_13

Please welcome Kobe Evans. Yay!

SPEAKER_20

Hi, hi, hi.

SPEAKER_13

Kobe.

SPEAKER_20

Alright, guys.

SPEAKER_17

I'm gonna talk to you guys later. Bless up, big bless. That is the first one.

SPEAKER_06

And of course, you know what time it is. A super cut.

SPEAKER_17

Oh hell yeah. That's the Bible, baby. Bless up, big bless. I don't want your last bless up, big bless, big bless.

SPEAKER_15

Bless up, big bless to our boy Vanderbeek.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Recipes. Sorry, I'm gonna start saying bless up, big bless. I really liked that. It is like the perfect way to eulogize someone, right? It's a newer bit.

SPEAKER_16

It's a newer bit.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah.

SPEAKER_16

I sent that in a text to my sister yesterday. That has entered our lexicon fully in this household.

SPEAKER_17

That's great. Did she die?

SPEAKER_16

No. No, but I was working. So she texted me because her husband left to go get dinner, and immediately it starts storming and hailing. And I said, Is he home safe? She said, Yes, and the sushi was unharmed. And I said, Bless up, big blessed. Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Alright, boys, it's time for another one. An out-of-context super cut. Oh boy. That's what I wrote, Ghost Jizz. I like my water without Jesus in it. We wave and die. A dream. This kid is full of shit.

SPEAKER_16

That does sound like a slur.

SPEAKER_17

Like, is Halloween 6 the most influential film of the 90s? Flame Up just did more for me. Flame Up. By Jillian Hall pass. And still, like once a year, I just like text him a picture of my hand.

SPEAKER_15

He did it through his cup gunner, yeah. Cruising Sarandon.

SPEAKER_14

Oh my god! I gotta get one ticket to home.

SPEAKER_22

She's a waitress.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, okay. What I refer to as the horror goat scene.

SPEAKER_04

He's busted Fago in the fucking uh brick road.

SPEAKER_16

Ironically, the actress died of diabetes. Oh my god. You gotta learn if you wanna yearn.

SPEAKER_17

Don't like that. Oh man.

SPEAKER_15

All right. How about some uh statistics, fellas? Yeah. Our top three most listened to episodes. Oh boy.

SPEAKER_18

This is interesting because if you include YouTube plays, because we as a courtesy throw our episodes up on YouTube, the difference between just pure downloads and the YouTube plays included is crazy because our most listened to episode of all time is crank. Oh yeah. And when you then look at the second most listened to episode of all time, which is Dog Pound, it's 33% less than crank.

SPEAKER_15

What the fuck? And then number three is how to die in Oregon.

SPEAKER_17

What?

SPEAKER_15

Crazy, crazy disparity here.

SPEAKER_16

I have a theory about this.

SPEAKER_15

What's the theory?

SPEAKER_16

The thumbnail on YouTube for crank is Amy Smart getting railed in the middle of the street.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah. Yep, you're right. That's absolutely why it's the highest rated episode. You're probably right.

SPEAKER_17

Our listeners are the worst kind of people.

SPEAKER_15

But if you just go with pure downloads, number one is the Terminator. Oh number two, this warns my heart. Malignant. Yes. And number three is Batman Returns, which are all season six episodes. I thought that was interesting.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, interesting.

SPEAKER_18

Our top five countries slash territories of listeners. Uh number one, no real surprise here, United States with 73% of all our plays.

SPEAKER_17

USA! USA! Fuck yeah!

SPEAKER_15

Number two is the UK.

SPEAKER_18

Number three is Australia. Number four is Canada. Number five is Germany. And then some other countries and territories I think are worth mentioning. Singapore, Norway, Brazil, Hong Kong, Sweden, Russian Federation, Trinidad, and Tobago, Belgium, South Korea, Bangladesh, Serbia, Malaysia, Kenya, Botswana, and so, so many more that I just don't have time to list them all. It's crazy. We're international boys.

SPEAKER_15

Mr. Worldwide.

SPEAKER_17

Well, 50% of those are just me with a VPN.

SPEAKER_15

Speaking of which, our top five cities of listeners, number one is Los Angeles. No surprise there.

SPEAKER_18

Number two is Melbourne, Australia. Number three is Chicago. Number four is New York. And number five is Sydney, Australia. So shout out to LA for listening to us.

SPEAKER_17

Arnar Sydney.

SPEAKER_18

The whole screencast.

SPEAKER_15

Our longest episode.

SPEAKER_18

Anybody want to take a guess?

SPEAKER_17

Oh boy. Uh Halloween 2018. Not a bad guess. Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_15

No, wait, it's not that. It's not that. It's either Revenge of the Sith or Hellhouse LLC. I think it might be Hellhouse. Also good guesses, but not it. Oh, Freddie versus Jason? No, not Freddie versus Jason.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, no. Wait. Is it the dark night where you spent 45 minutes just reading IMDB trivia? No, it's not.

SPEAKER_15

No, it's not. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_16

It's the shining because you had to break it into two episodes.

SPEAKER_18

I don't really count that one because the shining, the second part of the of the episode, is us talking about like Dodge Sleep and everything else. It's not really about the shining. But our longest episodes to date is episode 107, which is your pick, Nathan.

SPEAKER_15

Your first pick, Casino Royale, which is two hours, two hours, 52 minutes and eight seconds, which is longer than the runtime of the movie by half an hour.

SPEAKER_16

Holy shit. That's stupid.

SPEAKER_15

It's also an important episode because that was when we recorded literally moments after I found out that Oatmeal the Rabbit had passed away. I remember. Yeah. So that one was a big one.

SPEAKER_17

Who the fuck is Oatmeal?

SPEAKER_15

I don't know. Rest in peace though.

SPEAKER_16

That's also a weird episode because it's when I'm still trying to feel out being on the podcast. Utah is talking about specific camera lenses, and at one point I'm like, yeah, yeah, totally. Absolutely. I'm pretending I know anything about that. Yep. Yep. Just like I'm pretending I know how card games are played.

SPEAKER_15

And our shortest episode to date is no surprise. It's still the strangers at 39 minutes and 45 seconds. Won't be beaten. It will not be beaten, never. Not with that attitude.

SPEAKER_18

So a number of times through each of the seasons, we found a through line that a lot of the movies we picked that season had running through it.

SPEAKER_16

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_18

Yes.

SPEAKER_16

We had more to say about Showgirls Exposed than the Strangers. We sure did. We sure did. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I really hope there's an age-old question in this.

SPEAKER_18

So I thought it would be fun to list off what I think the theme of each season is based on re-listening to our episodes.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_18

So season one is not fun.

SPEAKER_19

I'll go ahead and tell you it's the season of sexual abusers because David mentions it in the beginning of an American Werewolf in London. Chalice in uh Halloween three is possibly sleeping with an underage girl.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah. Davis gets sexually assaulted in Dog Pound. Ryan Gosling continues having sex with his wife after she tells him to stop in Blue Valentine. Right. So not really a fun way to kick off this idea, this topic, but season two was a season of revenge because we did both old boys. We have Joel Edgerton in The Gift. We've got Brad Pitt in Seven becoming Wrath. And we've got Barry Kyogen in The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Season three is a season of young people doing dumb shit, which is the kids and kids, which I think that one's pretty self-explanatory. We've got Jack and Rose in Titanic. Get on that fucking boat, Rose. You're so stupid. We've got Dinny in the room, who is uh, you know, fucking around with that drug dealer who he owes money to. Chris R. And we've got Kevin, and we need to talk about Kevin, which again I think is self-explanatory. Season four, Matt, you'll appreciate this one. It's the season of Colts, because we've got Quarantine, Midsummer, Apostle, and Halloween, The Curse of Michael Myers. And it's also the season of first because we did our first zombie movie with quarantine, our first animated movie with a Scanner Darkly. If you consider that true animation, if not, it's Batman Mask of the Phantasm. And our first documentary with How to Die in Oregon. And then Nathan, this is where you came aboard. And I think definitively season five is the season of scamps.

unknown

Oh, nice.

SPEAKER_18

Because we've got Calvin and Life, we've got Freddie and Jason in Freddie versus Jason.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the angry cum shots.

SPEAKER_15

We've got the Red Queen and her laser grid in Resident Evil. We've got Prince and Under the Cherry Moon. We've got Michael Myers in Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills. Hell yeah. We've got that one legless rail riding zombie in Dawn of the Dead 2004. We've got the demon in Paranormal Activity, the Green Goblin dressed as the old lady in Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_18

We've got Alfred and Joker in Batman Mask of the Phantasm, and Agent Smith in The Matrix Reloaded.

SPEAKER_16

And uh we have Paul Dano lifting the dog by the leaves in prisoners.

SPEAKER_18

You're right, you're right. That season's also the season of sweat too, we came up with because everyone in Angel Heart is sweaty, Bond and LaSheath is sweaty in Casino Royale. Everyone in the original Planet of the Apes is sweating, and of course everyone in Dawn of the Dead's remake are sweating too. Season six is the season of wire trauma because we've got Vince in the Fast and the Furious. We've got William Hurt's henchman in a history of violence.

SPEAKER_06

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_18

We've got that stoner guy from Final Destination 2 when the fence explodes and like trifurcates him. Yeah. And of course, there's some wire trauma, death, and wishmaster too.

SPEAKER_07

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_18

And Nathan, you actually coined this term. This is also the season of Mally's Absence, aka a history of absence.

SPEAKER_15

Matthew was missing most of the episodes of this season.

SPEAKER_06

Yep. He was missing from the Texas Chainsaw Masker 2, Final Destination 2, The Fast and the Furious, The History of Violence, Batman Returns, There Will Be Blood, and Wishmaster.

SPEAKER_16

Wow. Missed some great movies.

SPEAKER_18

Season seven is a season of Ether Rich because we've got Pete Davidson in his house and Bodies Bodies Bodies. We've got the villains of the movie Society. Uh-huh. We've got Jordan and his crew in The Wolf of Wall Street. The family in Deadly Games, aka Dial Code Santa Claus, aka Game Over, aka Hide and Freak, aka 3615 Code Pare Noel, aka Los Fantasias de Del Pequenio Rambo.

SPEAKER_20

Rambo Cambo. Yeah.

SPEAKER_18

And the people on the ship in Triangle of Sadness. And then Nathan, the alternate title for season seven, is Go to the Fucking Hospital. Because we've got Charlie and the Whale. We've got Anthony in Candyman's remake and Kinderman going to the hospital a lot in The Exorcist 3.

SPEAKER_16

May I ask what year did season seven air? Oh. Because it feels like Eat the Rich season very much coincided with the election of Donald Trump.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, uh, I'll I'll look it up. I'll look it up. Okay. But season eight was also the season of smokers because we've got Smoker and Lee in Joker Folly Adoo, aka Smoker Folly Adoo.

SPEAKER_16

Smoker 2, shame on you.

SPEAKER_15

We've got Kawada at Battle Royale. We've got Crystal Knowing Nationwide Cigarette Prices in The Hunt from 2020.

SPEAKER_07

Hunt.

SPEAKER_18

Laura Palmer smoking a lot in Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me. The Driller Killer in Slumber Party Massacre 2 lighting up. Hell yeah. The Nuns in the First Omen. And Bud smoking a joint using a piece of medical equipment in Halloween 2, 1981.

SPEAKER_15

And season 9, which is the current season, so far, I think is the season of eaters because we've got Jamie and 28 years later, we've got Craig in Friendship, and we've got Edward biting Bella's wrist in Twilight, which we agree is a sex scene.

SPEAKER_16

Gonna wake you up with a lick. Oh god.

SPEAKER_05

I do want to bring up the scene with the blow-up doll in Slumber Party Masker 2 and the toads.

SPEAKER_18

Yep, yep, yep.

SPEAKER_05

Really hope we were gonna get around that. I'm not gonna let that happen.

SPEAKER_18

Season seven premiered in 2023, actually.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, okay. So I was just it was just percolating.

SPEAKER_18

So as I mentioned in the intro, we've covered over 220 movies in our 10 year as a podcast, which means we've talked about a variety of different types of movies. Some good, some bad, some funny, some sad. But I think the movie we hated the most holds a special place in our hearts and yours.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 143, 365 days.

SPEAKER_17

Oh no, this is by far the worst movie we have ever covered. I thought it would be funny to do it, but um, it's it's not. Yeah. It's not funny at all. Not not at all.

SPEAKER_16

No. This movie is not just bad, though. Like it is, it's reprehensible. No, every single person in this movie can go right in the garbage, including the people who fucking made it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Boy, knives out for 365 days.

SPEAKER_17

And there's still two more of those to cover at some point. There sure is. Nathan.

SPEAKER_15

Nathan didn't like that. Do we still stand by that being the worst movie we've covered? Do we? Do we? Yeah, because no one had fun. I don't know. I think the episode's fun to listen to. I will say that.

SPEAKER_16

I think it's a good discussion for sure.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah. That actually leads me to a few questions I wanted to ask you guys, though, that are pretty open-ended to really gauge how you feel about the show. But I guess let's talk about it first. What is the movie that we've covered that has the most upsetting ending to you? Oh God. I can tell you for me, it's probably in the mouth of madness, which is pretty apt considering our listeners voted on that one being the movie that needed the silver lining the most. Yeah. Because if you recall, my silver lining was literally hopefully God could fix everything.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, I would say that or Soft and Quiet would be up there for me. That's mine. That's my pick. Yeah. Or Grave of the Fireflies, maybe.

SPEAKER_18

Oof, yeah, good picks. Also, what's your favorite moment in the show's history, boys?

SPEAKER_16

Oh man. Um, I'm a big fan of the Hellhouse LLC like runner. Yeah. The chicken bit that you played earlier is a huge bit for me.

SPEAKER_17

I gotta go with when Nathan realized that the entire plot of trap does not make sense.

SPEAKER_19

Yep. That's a good one.

SPEAKER_16

That's up there. Us debating if Crispy's the best kind of chicken. Mallie's reaction to me saying speak on it isn't really my favorite thing in the world. Speak on that. JT's reaction to me realizing that he went to the world that's all Chinese in the one is one of my favorite things that's ever happened.

SPEAKER_15

That's a good one. I think the X-house LLC bit is still my favorite because everyone was involved.

SPEAKER_18

It spanned the entire episode, and it turned what I thought was a pretty dull movie into a very memorable episode. So that's probably number one for me.

SPEAKER_16

Drew saying Sheave was sucking and fucking his way up and down Coruscant. That's like one of my favorite moments of the whole show. Yeah. Sheave the sleeve. Shave the sleeve. There's a moment that Ashley and I quote all the time, which is when in the Black Christmas episode, JT says this was before they had wireless, and then he pauses for like half a second, and I say, What?

SPEAKER_15

Yep. Yep. We quote that a lot. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_17

In what context do you quote that?

SPEAKER_15

I just don't remember. She'll just say things to me, and I say, What?

SPEAKER_05

We were talking about the calls coming from the inside of the house.

SPEAKER_18

Oh, yeah, like them tracing the calls because back then they literally had to like run up and down the switches to see who was making the phone calls and everything. Yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Uh also Mally telling us about the version of Halloween 4 that would have had like Rockabilly Michael Myers up there for me as well.

SPEAKER_19

That's good. That's good.

SPEAKER_17

Where he was in all leather in a sports car and he mows down a group of people standing in line to see Halloween 4 at Australia movie theater. Yep. Makes no fucking sense.

SPEAKER_18

What do you guys think is the worst movie we've covered?

SPEAKER_05

Ooh. Is it like the worst movie we've covered as far as the content we're watching or the worst made movie?

SPEAKER_15

Just the worst movie we've covered, however you want to interpret that.

SPEAKER_16

I think 365. Ooh. But I've re-listened to it recently, and I don't know that I've ever heard Dustin as like over a movie as when we talked about Under the Cherry movie.

SPEAKER_06

That one's pretty high on my list.

SPEAKER_16

That is a movie that I love, but also think is one of the worst movies we've ever covered.

SPEAKER_15

So I was thinking it's 365 days just because of how reprehensible it is.

SPEAKER_17

But we can't not mention Jill Rips.

SPEAKER_18

So okay. I was gonna say it might be Jill Ritz, but at least with that one, we got Ball Sack, we've got Dolph Grundel. We had some good moments out of that movie.

SPEAKER_15

But for me, just the flat out worst movie we've covered is still the shape of things because that is not a movie to me. It's not a movie. Sorry, it's not a movie.

SPEAKER_16

That is a movie that I picked months before I re-watched it, and was I was so embarrassed to talk about that movie because it is a movie that I really liked in high school and then watched again and was like, this is nothing. Yep. This is so badly acted, it's poorly directed, it's poorly written. And it is that thing where you kind of outgrow certain writers and filmmakers, right? At like the age of 14, there was something profound about the way Neil Le But wrote dialogue, and watching it now, I'm like, no one talks like this. Everyone's an asshole, and this movie is terrible.

SPEAKER_19

Yep.

SPEAKER_16

Great Elvis Costello soundtrack, but aside from that, fuck everything.

SPEAKER_19

Yeah, I hate that fucking movie.

SPEAKER_16

The only movie we had to hunt down to watch. Like it was not available.

SPEAKER_18

God damn it. And lastly, what do you guys think is our best episode? Ooh.

SPEAKER_17

Halloween 2018 was a pretty good one.

SPEAKER_18

I always recommend Hellhouse LLC as our most chaotic and fun episode. Yeah. But in terms of best, I do think it may be broke back mountain since we had a genuine conversation with Moss. Like he got very real on that episode. But we also have the exact opposite with Nathan, you, of course, eating the beans, which was incredible. Like we had a lot of laughs and cries on that one. It's a very fun episode for me. So I think that one may be my favorite.

SPEAKER_17

Revenge of the Sith is up there too.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah, I just re-listened to that one. It's so much fun. That was a good one.

SPEAKER_16

Revenge of the Sith is up there. I throw out Spider-Man a lot. I think the thing is a really good conversation because we really get into who is the thing, what's funny about this movie, why is this movie so good?

SPEAKER_17

Well, Nathan, here's the thing. First things first. That thing you do.

SPEAKER_16

That thing you do. Is that what you said? Yep.

SPEAKER_11

God.

SPEAKER_16

My father texted me fairly recently and said, I just listened to the Halloween 6 episode, and I said, that's the one where we front load the incest talk.

SPEAKER_15

Like, what the fuck? Why is that the one you start with? Yeah, is your dad still a big fan of uh dicks? Oh, he loves them.

SPEAKER_19

Hell yeah. Connoisseur. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Where did that start? Us watching Possessor together.

SPEAKER_19

Possessor, yeah. Yep.

unknown

Alright.

SPEAKER_15

Well, how about a quick game, fellas? These should be fun. Here we go.

SPEAKER_18

How many Halloween movies have we covered on the show?

SPEAKER_05

Hold on.

SPEAKER_15

Start doing the math. I can see some fingers.

SPEAKER_17

We haven't done the original. We haven't done Halloween 2, the Rob Zombie version. I'm gonna go with eight.

SPEAKER_19

Okay.

SPEAKER_17

Nine.

SPEAKER_19

Nine? Okay.

SPEAKER_15

Mally? Uh nine. Yeah, it is nine because we have not covered the original from 1978, and we never will.

SPEAKER_18

We haven't covered Halloween 5, The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween H2O, 20 Years Later, and we have not done Rob Zombies Halloween 2, and probably won't for quite some time.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_18

That one sucks shit.

SPEAKER_16

Two is the one that surprises me the most because I feel like there is stuff to talk about there, but I don't want to be the one to put it on the schedule.

SPEAKER_15

Me neither. I still get one pick a year, guys.

SPEAKER_19

I sure do. You sure do.

SPEAKER_15

The pick you have for us this season makes me laugh so hard.

SPEAKER_16

I legitimately cannot wait.

SPEAKER_06

I hope we stick with that one. We'll see.

SPEAKER_16

I am desperate to talk about that movie.

SPEAKER_15

What episode has the most to be and its variations, and how many? Oh sure. And I'll give you a hint. You heard a lot of it in the supercut we played earlier.

SPEAKER_17

Oh shit. I say to be fair a lot, so I feel like I was on the episode.

SPEAKER_15

You sure were.

SPEAKER_17

Well, that knocks down like a lot of episodes.

SPEAKER_16

Is it a Halloween movie?

SPEAKER_15

It's not a Halloween movie.

SPEAKER_16

Is it Back to the Future 2?

SPEAKER_15

No, but you're kind of in a similar genre.

SPEAKER_16

Okay.

SPEAKER_15

Time travel. It's a recent-ish movie. I can tell you how many times that may give you a clue. Okay. Madam Webb. Oh, not Madame Webb, but close. Well, not even close. I don't know why I said that. It's um we did it 12 times across the episode. Oh, wow. Trap. Wait, is it trap? It's not trap.

SPEAKER_16

Is it scream four?

SPEAKER_15

No, but same first letter. And a number is in the title as well.

SPEAKER_16

Slumber Party Massacre 2. No, but you're getting there. Oh, same number of letters in the title?

SPEAKER_18

No, no, no. No. Same first letter and it also has a number in the title.

SPEAKER_16

Oh. Suck my dick three.

SPEAKER_17

Fuck. I don't know. Just say. This is a lot of dead air.

SPEAKER_15

Sure, sure. It is Star Wars episode three, Revenge of the Sith. We did it 12 times. One of our longest episodes. One of the longest. One of the longest.

SPEAKER_05

Suck my dick. I wasn't here for that one.

SPEAKER_15

I don't think I was. No, you were definitely here for that one. Oh, JT, you gotta watch Suck My Dick 3. You were there. You were here. Now, this final bit of the game portion is actually just for Bally and JT because I have 10 clips here. Oh god. And I want you guys to tell me who is Nathan doing an impression of in each clip. Oh, hell yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_17

JT, lock the fuck in. Okay.

SPEAKER_15

So you get a point for guessing the impression, a point for guessing the episode he did the impression in. Not a chance. And another point if you could tell me the context of why he was doing the oppression in the first place.

SPEAKER_17

Jesus. Okay. All right.

SPEAKER_18

So Nathan.

SPEAKER_17

This point system's bullshit.

SPEAKER_18

You could give us the answers if you remember, but if not, I do have them here.

SPEAKER_15

Okay. So here's number one.

SPEAKER_02

You guys are scientists like me, so I know you got a conscience.

SPEAKER_17

Okay, that's Mark Wahlberg in The Happening.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, so you're half right. Fuck. It is a Mark Wahlberg impression from the happening, but we actually did that one in the 1998 Godzilla episode because Matthew Broderick tells the military he didn't link confidential material exactly how Mark Wahlberg speaks in the happening.

SPEAKER_18

And then they're like, Did you leak that tape?

SPEAKER_15

And he goes, No.

SPEAKER_05

So these are gonna only gonna be from episodes that I have been on, right?

SPEAKER_18

Well, definitely episodes that Nathan's been on, but yeah, I think there's a couple you may have been absent for, JT. Okay, well, that's not fair.

SPEAKER_16

Because I'm pretty sure I did that same impression in the happening episode referencing Transformers. You did. That's so funny. Okay. All right, here's number two. Okay. I had one of my Monica Bellucci dreams last night.

SPEAKER_15

Firewalk with me. It is firewalk with me. Yeah, is that David Lynch? David Lynch. It is David Lynch. I don't know what else. It's fine. It's just he was literally speaking a quote from an episode of The Return. Explaining the plot of the return to you. Oh, I haven't got there yet. Gotcha, gotcha.

SPEAKER_07

All right, here's number three. Y'all don't want to be weird or nothing, boo. Maybe we can go get a go stay in like a cabin my buddy has together. Yeah, one more time? Of course, of course. Y'all don't want to be weird or nothing, boo. Maybe we can go get a go stay in like a cabin my buddy has together.

SPEAKER_15

It sounds like John C. Riley. It is John C. Riley.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, good. Nathan, you're pretty good, man.

SPEAKER_15

What episode is that one from? I have no idea. Not a fucking clue. Nathan, do you remember? Yeah, yeah. It was Brokeback Mountain. And I was saying that David Harbour is basically doing a John C. Riley impression of the new movie.

SPEAKER_06

Oh fuck, that's right. All right. Here's number four. Wait, wait, one more time. Sure, sure. Here we go.

SPEAKER_17

So that's R2D2 Revenge of the

SPEAKER_06

Yep, yep, yep.

SPEAKER_15

Yep. I'll give Mally the R2D2 because he said it first, but I'll give you the Star Wars episode 3 point DT.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I thought we were working together here. I didn't know we were competing.

SPEAKER_15

No, no, you're competing.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I thought we were on a fucking team.

SPEAKER_15

Loser dies at the end of the episode.

SPEAKER_17

Off the show. Oh, fuck. I'm gonna lose on purpose then.

SPEAKER_06

Fucking please. Do we remember why we uh why Nathan did an R2D2 impression?

SPEAKER_17

I think I just asked him to.

SPEAKER_15

I think it was just asked, yeah. Well, it's because we said R2D2 keeps his fucking mouth shut because he's one of the only few people across the entire saga that sees it all. And they're like, what would it sound like if he did speak? And then Nathan said that.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_16

Mally goes, hey, what would that sound like?

SPEAKER_15

I think you guys will get this one. Here's number five.

SPEAKER_16

Do not ask me what this favor is. It's definitely not something crazy. Do it again, do it again. Sure. Do not ask me what this favor is. It's definitely not something crazy.

SPEAKER_05

It's Kivich on Malkovich.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, no, no, no. It's not Malkovich. I can hear it though.

SPEAKER_15

It's from this season, I'll tell you that. You got it, Nathan? I know who it is. I don't remember the context. Do it again. Do it again.

SPEAKER_16

Okay.

SPEAKER_13

I can't fucking breathe.

SPEAKER_16

Do not ask me what this favor is. It's definitely not something crazy.

SPEAKER_05

Is it Mansion Impossible?

SPEAKER_19

No, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_05

I'm thinking like Bond villain here.

SPEAKER_19

Funny enough, he played a Bond villain. Get close.

SPEAKER_05

Oh shit. Oh, my chest. My chest.

SPEAKER_15

My fucking chest hurts.

SPEAKER_19

He did play a bond villain.

SPEAKER_05

It's Christoph Waltz.

SPEAKER_15

It's Christoph Waltz, yep.

SPEAKER_19

Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Do you remember what episode it was from?

SPEAKER_05

Fuck no. Okay, yeah, because he was like, do we still think he's a good actor or not? I remember the context. Wait.

SPEAKER_15

Oh fuck. Oh shit. Nathan, you got it?

SPEAKER_16

Oh, yes, I do remember now.

SPEAKER_18

You want to just give it to us, Nathan?

SPEAKER_16

It's from the Frankenstein episode. That's right. Yeah. Uh huh. And it's when he's him talking about it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Shit. I would like you to put my brain in a new body. Yep, yep. That was Christopher Walken. Well it's a little bit. Christoph Walken. We were tiptoeing all around it.

SPEAKER_16

Uh-huh. I will stab you in the face with a soldering iron.

SPEAKER_18

All right. Here's number six. And now, JT, I will tell you, you were not on this episode. This is before your time on the show. But here we go.

SPEAKER_09

Bible were never tortured like that. Casino Royale.

SPEAKER_17

That's definitely Casino Royale.

SPEAKER_15

It is Casino Royale, yes. Do we know who he's doing an impression of?

SPEAKER_17

Daniel Craig? I don't know. Pierce Brosnan?

SPEAKER_15

No, no. Another Bond, though.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, uh Connery. Timothy Dalton?

SPEAKER_15

Not Connery, not Dalton. You guys are all around it. Fuck me. Who's the other one? One of the bigger ones. Nathan's got it, though. I can tell.

SPEAKER_17

Nathan's so disappointed in me and JT right now. Can he play it again?

SPEAKER_15

Oh, you want to play it again? Yeah, I'll play it again. Hold on.

SPEAKER_09

My balls were never tortured like that. Yeah, no, I'm drawing a blank. Alright, fuck it. Go.

SPEAKER_16

Who is it, Nathan? It's the one who likes Beluga caviar the most, Roger Moore. We share the same last name. You must keep tempo like the octopus who plays the drums.

SPEAKER_18

I'm pretty confident you guys will get this next one.

SPEAKER_14

Are you caught up on heated rivalry?

SPEAKER_15

Yep, that is Lewis. What episode was that one? 2018 curse. I don't know. Nope. Uh Resurrection. It's from Halloween Resurrection. Yep, yep, Mallet got it. Alright, here's number eight.

SPEAKER_16

No, no, he had the he had the blackest eyes. The devil's eyes. Okay, go back, go back. Play it again.

SPEAKER_11

One more time.

SPEAKER_16

No, no. He had the blackest eyes. The devil's eyes.

SPEAKER_15

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_16

Such a good approach.

SPEAKER_05

Merry Christmas, you old cooler. So this is uh um I can't think of his name. Uh-huh. Oh my god. Not a Christmas story, but um fucking uh That's like part of the game. Yeah, I know. It's a wonderful life. Yep, it sure is. Can't think of the actor's name, and that's unfortunate. I'm trying to think of what movie or what episode that's on, since I can't name the actor.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, this one's so good. Do you know it, Nathan?

SPEAKER_16

I actually don't remember what episode I I have an idea of maybe what episode it was.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_16

I have no fucking clue.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, play it again. I'm trying to figure out who's left. I need to hear that laugh again at the end.

SPEAKER_16

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, he he had the he had the blackest eyes. The devil's eyes. So that was Ashley, right? Yeah, that's Ashley, yeah. Okay, so Black Christmas.

SPEAKER_18

Not Black Christmas, not Black Christmas.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my gosh, I figured that would have been the context.

SPEAKER_15

Okay.

SPEAKER_18

All right, Nathan, go ahead and tell us.

SPEAKER_16

Okay, so I'm doing Jimmy Stewart as Dr. Loomis. And is it in the Deadly Games episode?

SPEAKER_15

No, it's not.

SPEAKER_18

This is actually from Scream 4 because remember the movie club has a Vertigo poster and a Halloween 2 from 2009 poster. So we were like, what would Jimmy Stewart be like in Halloween 2?

SPEAKER_05

Oh wow. Dude, it's very interesting on how Nathan gets to these impressions.

SPEAKER_06

Yep.

SPEAKER_05

I shot him six times. Jesus.

SPEAKER_06

Alright, two more.

SPEAKER_15

Two more.

SPEAKER_07

It's not a two more.

SPEAKER_05

They're putting Flora Idently Orders. Okay, well, it's RFK.

SPEAKER_19

That's RFK. Yep, yep, yep. And what is what is he saying?

SPEAKER_06

I'll play it again. I'll play it again.

SPEAKER_05

They're putting fluoride honors. Subtitles.

SPEAKER_06

He's saying they're putting fluoride in the waters.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, I have no idea what episode that's from. They're turning the frogs gay! That's a relatively recent episode.

SPEAKER_19

Yep, yep. Nathan, do you know it?

SPEAKER_15

They're putting fluoride in the waters.

SPEAKER_16

It's from Oh God. It's not it's not caught stealing. It's it's from this season, though. Sure is? Shit. I can't think of it.

SPEAKER_19

It is from Begonia because we said Jesse Plumman's character would probably be brainwashed by the likes of RFK Jr.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_18

Alright, last one, fellas. And JT, this is also an episode you weren't on, but I think you may actually get the person he's doing an impression of, and you may get the context here, but here we go.

SPEAKER_16

We've lost the entwives! That's Matt Barry.

SPEAKER_15

It's Matt Barry. Yep. That's the two towers. It is the two towers. Because that was what if Matt Barry was tree beard?

SPEAKER_17

I know Nathan's Matt Barry impression. I've literally texted Nathan to be like, hey, can you record yourself saying this as Matt Barry? Can you just say this for me? Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Now Nathan is not the only one who could do an impression on the show. Let's actually hear one from Mally.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, sure. God damn it.

SPEAKER_22

From episode 121, Dawn of the Dead, 2004.

SPEAKER_16

I fucking nailed it. Can I throw out another impression that is like frequently said in my house? It's Dustin. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

SPEAKER_15

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Because I think I know what you're gonna say, and I may have a clip to play in just a few minutes for. If not, you can say it. Beautiful, beautiful.

SPEAKER_18

Because of course, we couldn't do impressions without one that seems to come up multiple times per season.

SPEAKER_07

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_08

I told you not to talk to my daughter. I don't care how long you think your legs are. You better use them to walk the hell out of my store.

SPEAKER_14

My pace insure isn't locked, so you need to get the hell out of here. Don't ever talk to my granddaughter again.

SPEAKER_08

I'm gonna unmake you. Stop calling your mommy and daddy. Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna keep flying until you run low on fuel.

SPEAKER_06

Don't you land that plane in Las Vegas, Walter.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like how y'all's Mike Ermintrout impressions sound.

SPEAKER_14

Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna go to Hellhouse LLC, Walter.

SPEAKER_08

You're gonna play a game with me, Hoffman.

SPEAKER_17

I I hate I hate it.

SPEAKER_08

Killing is distasteful to me. You're gonna fill a tub with diarrhoea and attach electrical cables to it. Alright, here's what you're gonna do, Anakin. Here's what you gotta do, Donnie. You gotta chemically castrate yourself. Walter. Someone shot the doll.

SPEAKER_14

Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna get in your car, you're gonna drive to Agent Carter's house, and you're not gonna say anything.

SPEAKER_08

You're not gonna look at her daughter.

SPEAKER_14

You won't speak to the daughter.

SPEAKER_08

Under any circumstances, you are not. You are not You do not go into the basement.

SPEAKER_14

You will bring me a pimento cheese sandwich.

SPEAKER_08

This bit's gone on long legs. Rub it all over my magic orb. Oh god, this bit's gone on long legs enough.

SPEAKER_05

Ah man. Dude, the I don't care how long your legs are is so fucking good. Oh, it's the best.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, how long your legs are.

SPEAKER_18

Alright, fellas, here it is. The fifth and final out-of-context supercut, which is also our last clip as well. So here we go.

SPEAKER_07

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_17

Do y'all fuck with 9-11 or no?

SPEAKER_16

My favorite kind of humor is comedic. You go on a date with one of us, you go on a date with all of us.

SPEAKER_18

You might be sending mixed signals to the pizza delivery, but I don't know.

SPEAKER_17

I want to exclusively be referred to as fuck pig.

SPEAKER_15

Michael showed me his fuck style. What's yours lost? Can I tell you, I was thinking about this last night. You put the word casserole in something, I'ma have a bite. They took all her shit out.

SPEAKER_16

God's gonna help stop the Emperor at the end of Mortal Kombat.

SPEAKER_15

This movie is fucking trash. And yet it fucking rules. God, we're lost. I'm hungry. We gotta take a shit. Let's kill this guy. Imagine Matt David coming back home from saving private Ryan. And the first thing he says when he walks at the door to his house is like, Where's my pussy?

SPEAKER_07

Where's mine? Where's mine?

SPEAKER_18

So, because this is a celebratory episode, we wanted to hear from our listeners as well. Because if four white dudes with beards talk about movies on a podcast and no one's around to hear it, does it even exist? So, we have a number of voicemails followers of people that called in that want to witch us well, ask us some questions. So here we go.

SPEAKER_15

We'll start with who I've said is probably the fifth member of the podcast by this point, but this is from Jordan.

SPEAKER_17

Who the fuck is Jordan?

SPEAKER_12

Jordan. Everyone's favorite uh I'm just gonna say listener to the podcast. I'm gonna ask the one question that I've always wanted to know the most, which is what is everybody's favorite movie. You made me feel like I'm a member of everything in the community.

SPEAKER_07

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, bless up big bless, Jordan. Yeah, thank you, Jordan.

SPEAKER_05

Oh no, did he die?

SPEAKER_15

I'm just doing that preemptively. Did he die?

SPEAKER_05

Jordan also joins our uh uh Dustin Amons live stream during off seasons and stuff. He's he's really cool.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah. I would say my favorite, and it's maybe recency bias, but I think minus one is my favorite.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, I would say minus one, the OG, and giant monster all-out attack are my three faves. And Shin Godzilla, which I think is hilarious.

SPEAKER_19

I love Shin Godzilla. JT, yeah, I know you've probably got like thousands running through your head, but what do you got?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, so number one is uh Godzilla vs. Mega Godzilla.

SPEAKER_19

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_05

The original. Uh-huh. I'd say the original just because the Mega Godzilla and the new one I really didn't like. Sure. And then Godzilla 1985. Yeah. Or Godzilla Returns. Then I'm gonna go with minus one Shin Godzilla.

SPEAKER_19

Okay.

SPEAKER_16

I'd also throw out Godzilla versus Bayolante, which I watched for the first time recently. That movie fucking rules.

SPEAKER_17

It's a wild ass ride, but yeah, it's great.

SPEAKER_15

Mally, what's your favorite?

SPEAKER_17

Oh, I fucking love Pacific Ram dog.

SPEAKER_18

I was waiting for it. I was waiting for something like that.

SPEAKER_17

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_18

Uh all right. This next voicemail is coming to us from another Discord user. This is from Joshua. Here we go.

SPEAKER_21

What's up, guys? This is Joshua Scott here, and I want to say congratulations on ten seasons of the podcast that asks the age old question. What if? It was a silver lining playlist podcast. Hell yeah. Come on, you guys did it before you can do it again. Do it for Eric Estrada.

SPEAKER_15

We sure will, Joshua. We sure will. I give it a ten. A fucking ten. Can you play the Erica Strata clip real quick? Because it just makes me happy. Yes, I can. Did it before you could do it again.

SPEAKER_00

Hello, everyone, at the Silver Linings playlist. Hi, I'm Eric Castrada from Chips. Listen, I want to say hello and wish Dustin, Marley, Nathan, and JT a great season nine of their podcast. It's a movie review comedy show that's been running for nine years.

SPEAKER_19

Hell yeah, brother.

SPEAKER_00

So great success here in the coming year and the coming season. Thank you very much. This is from Dustin. Come on, guys, you can do it. Do it again. You did it for nine years, you can do it again.

SPEAKER_15

Hell yeah. Thank you, Eric. Why does this feel like bullying?

SPEAKER_18

Alright, this one comes to us from, I believe, the person's name is Teague. It's kind of hard to tell with the quality of these voicemails, so I apologize if that's not how you pronounce your name, but here we go. And Nathan, this one is in particular for you.

SPEAKER_27

Oh boy. Hey boy, Teague here. I work with the open road cover and spend a lot of lonely nights driving. And I just want to say your episode helped me get through the long orange. I'm probably revisiting every Halloween episode. During the back of the future episode without Martin's little weakness, and I was laughing so hard I had to pull over. Keep up the good work. And Nathan, in regards to the hitcher episode, yes, at Trucker Hotels there is a cut truck. Oh my god, thank you so much.

SPEAKER_16

Oh my god, this is this is breaking news.

SPEAKER_15

Asked and answered. Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Dude, he had to pull over.

SPEAKER_15

Someone's delivery was late because of our stupid show. God bless you.

SPEAKER_17

I gotta give my boy one of these. Oh god. My man pulled to the side of the rope. Yeah. Dude.

SPEAKER_05

Logistics are all fucked because my dick, chicken.

SPEAKER_15

Bless up, big bless to a country truck. Bless up, big blessed.

SPEAKER_18

So a few of our past guests have also called into the show. This one is from Michael Overby, a part of our not knock episode and our Mandy episode, and here we go.

SPEAKER_01

Hey guys, just wanted to give a quick shout out and congratulations for 10 years of the podcast. It's been a great way to keep the commute entertaining. Keep them coming. Ten more years.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, short and sweet. Thanks, Overby. Hell yeah. I swear to God, if we're still doing this in 10 fucking years. I know. 10 more years. This would come to us from unknown. Let's see what this is.

SPEAKER_17

Oh, someone dropped an anonymous.

SPEAKER_27

Uh you you guys took owe me money. Where's my money?

SPEAKER_20

That's it.

SPEAKER_15

We took his money. Uh was that? I'll go ahead and spoil it. That was from Paz Guest James Stacy. I thought was very funny. Did not care for it. I thought that was very funny. Do I owe James money? Do I? I don't know. You might. We probably do.

SPEAKER_17

Well, no, I sold him Legos, so yeah.

SPEAKER_15

So actually, two of our lovely wives also called in. This is from the first one. Our lovely wives.

SPEAKER_25

Computer, make this podcast gay and holy.

SPEAKER_17

Wait, what? Wait, did she say fuck your podcast? I'm dating baloney.

SPEAKER_11

No, she did not. Computer, make this podcast gay and horny.

SPEAKER_06

Can I tell you? She tried making that voicemail once before and she fucked up. I'm gonna play the outtake. Here we go.

SPEAKER_25

Oh, please, yes. Computer, make this podcast gay.

SPEAKER_15

She couldn't help but laugh at that.

SPEAKER_17

Did you pressure into sending this voicemail? Nope.

SPEAKER_15

Nope. She said she wanted to do that all on her own.

SPEAKER_17

I love how she laughed at her own joke.

SPEAKER_15

I know. None of us have ever fucking done that.

SPEAKER_16

Can I throw out? I became ordained to make sure she could marry you. Yep. And this is the thanks I get.

SPEAKER_15

All right, here's our last voicemail, boys. And it's actually a call from your lovely wife, Nate. And this is from Ashley. Here we go. His wife.

SPEAKER_22

Hi, Dustin. It's Ashley. This is just for Dustin. Yeah, you guys can't listen. Congratulations to you and all the guys on 10 years of the Silverlinings playlist. I didn't forget the title of the podcast. I don't have a script here, so I'm just going. I'm just so proud of you guys. I love the show so much, obviously. I'm a fan. Um and I wanted to record this. Uh, you can play it on the episode or not, whatever. I know you're taking messages, but I didn't call the phone number. I'm just recording this at the end of a voiceover you asked me to do. I have two favorite moments all time in the podcast. Um the first one is from the Hellhouse LLC episode, and it's when you guys are naming all the different Hell House LLC titles that you're coming up with, and Moss just says Hell House, more like Zell House form of payment. But those of you don't know what Zell is, and it it warms my heart and it makes me laugh, and it's one of my favorite moments ever. And then my second favorite moment is from uh the From Hell episode, um, where Dustin says, Would you like to tour the syphilis wards? And I gotta tell you, this was a vocal stem the entire time Nathan and I were in Europe and came to each other and and say this um on whatever European street we happened to be on. So um congratulations on uh forming most of my vocal stems for the past five years. And thank you for letting me be a small part of the TSLP family. I love every time I've been asked to be on the show. Um so thank you for those opportunities and happy 10 years and cheers to 10 more.

SPEAKER_15

Wow, incredible.

SPEAKER_17

Again, everyone keeps wishing for 10 more.

SPEAKER_06

I know, y'all are getting way ahead of yourself.

SPEAKER_15

She didn't say my wife once. She did.

SPEAKER_16

And I'm I'm gonna talk to her about it tonight.

SPEAKER_17

Also, she started that voicemail off with like, hey, Dustin.

SPEAKER_15

So here's the thing. Obviously, Ashley is the voice of all the from episodes, blah, blah, blah. We've heard throughout this, and she sent this without telling me, so I was like, what is this file? And I was like, oh, oh, oh, it's a secret message. Oh secret files. Was that the secret genes?

SPEAKER_06

Was that the clip, Nathan, that you said you wanted to hear about?

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, would you like to tour the syphilis wall? We don't we're gonna go to the moon because it's hot in it.

SPEAKER_18

Yep, yep. Uh and we got two messages as well that aren't voicemails, but they are in the form of text.

SPEAKER_15

We got an email from David Hunter from Sydney, Australia. He says, Hey guys, why? Okay.

SPEAKER_18

Said, hey guys, whilst I may only have listed for three to four years, I thought to reach out. I would call in, but one, I am outside the US, and two, my Aussie accent would make it difficult. Good job, Nathan, bullying this man for his fucking accent. Yeah. I think my nerve.

SPEAKER_06

I think my recent favorite moment was the broke back beans.

SPEAKER_15

Closely followed by the triple shot episodes of House and then parenthetical, he says with echo, because remember that's how they say house in the trailer. They go, House, house.

SPEAKER_18

Midnight Meat Train and Hell House LLC and all the LLC episodes after. But I think the best thing is that I knew nothing about 28 Years Later and had no plans to watch it until your episode. Wow. I absolutely loved it, as did my wife, and then in parentheticals, he played his wife.

SPEAKER_09

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_18

And we then watched The Bone Temple. Thank you for introducing me to this and other quirky movies like Long Legs and Begonia. Keep them coming, David from Sydney. Thank you, David.

SPEAKER_16

David, thank you for calling from Sydney House LLC. And thank you for going to the Bone Temple for us.

SPEAKER_15

Oh, love the Bone Temple. God.

SPEAKER_17

Out back Bone Temple, baby.

SPEAKER_15

And then lastly, Moss actually texts me this. This was late last night, and he had to have been drunk because LLC. Because a lot of it was in Cats, but I'm actually going to share it with you boys here. Oh my God. I'll write in. I love you all.

SPEAKER_16

Because you asked him to write in.

SPEAKER_15

No, I was like, hey, if you have a message, now would be the time to get it in. I said you don't have to.

SPEAKER_18

But he says, sure, I'll write in. And then all cats he puts, I love you all. Thanks for the memories over the 10. And then somehow we go into lowercase now. Years. Y'all have been doing the show, Taco Bellhouse, LLC, back to all caps, forever R.I.P.

SPEAKER_15

to all our lost family members, and the Sedicate podcast metadata, love forever, Moss. Wow. And then like a PS here, he put, I drank a pickle beer. Thank you, Moss. Incredible.

SPEAKER_16

The number of times that Moss and I have sent texts to each other that end with I've been drinking boys.

SPEAKER_15

Wait, what the fuck is a pickle beer? I guess a pickle IPA or something.

SPEAKER_19

I don't fucking know.

SPEAKER_16

Oh truly, almost every time Ashley or I Venmo one another, we say Zellhouse LLC to each other.

SPEAKER_18

Oh man. Well, that's all I got planned, boys. Is there any final words or any any final secrets to reveal?

SPEAKER_17

I'm so glad that my wife does not listen to this fucking show.

SPEAKER_19

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Guys, doing this show is one of my true greatest joys. It got me through the pandemic. Wait, hang on. Nathan. Yes. Can you start over? Do you want me to take the gun out of my mouth and finish telling you the story?

unknown

Hold on.

SPEAKER_15

Hold on. I didn't know we were dipping into a sad story. Hold on. Let me load it up real quick.

SPEAKER_17

Oh no. DC, I got one queued up. Go ahead. All right, go, Nathan. That's so loud.

SPEAKER_16

It was so loud.

SPEAKER_15

Go ahead, Nathan. I'm sorry to cut you off.

SPEAKER_16

No, doing this show has been a great joy to me. Doing listening to and being a part of the show got me through the pandemic. It got me through one of the deepest depressions of my life. And I look forward to talking about movies with you idiots every single weekend. And even when we're not recording, that I think about on a Sunday, I sit there and I'm like, yeah, next Sunday I'm talking to the boys about a movie. Weirdly, a show that talks about bleak endings has made me think differently about life and look forward to things that make me scared and nervous. I'm able to look at the bright side because the show has taught me how to do that. That has always been something that's difficult for me is to find the silver lining. And I truly believe that being a part of the show has made a positive difference in the way that I look at the universe. And I'm really grateful for all three of you. JT, I'm sorry I talk over you a lot. I love you very much. You're my little lion man.

SPEAKER_06

JT, shut up. Nathan's talking. Shut up.

SPEAKER_16

Shut the fuck up.

SPEAKER_05

So, anyways, this show to me.

SPEAKER_16

Mallie, I'm so glad that you and I can derail the conversation to talk about classic rock at any opportunity. Hell yeah. Dustin, I'm glad that you and I have spent hours talking about Showgirls and Robocop and other things from the 80s that everyone else has decided don't fucking matter anymore. And it gives me something that gets me through the week. It is something that has given my wife, my wife, a great deal of joy, created vocal stems that make me happy throughout the day. And sometimes when I'm having a bad day, I listen back to our show and am so happy to have these memories and have these conversations that bring me so much joy. Thank you guys. Uh I don't know if we're gonna do 10 more years, but I'm happy to I'm happy to do this show for as long as you guys will put up with me. Thank you.

SPEAKER_15

Beautiful, beautiful eulogy, Mallie. I echo your sentiments, Nathan.

SPEAKER_18

I am very happy to do this show. There are times where like I'm like, do I want to keep doing it because it is a lot of work? Sure. But then the episode gets done and I'm like, oh yeah, I had a lot of fun doing that, and I want to do it again. Like, I like the excuse of making time, like literally a scheduled time where I get to spend two to three hours just dicking around with YouTube ding dongs, plus JT, who's a very smart boy who I love very much, and I will not interrupt him. Also, JT's here. Oh yeah, we didn't even mention JT's here.

SPEAKER_15

Hey guys, JT, shut the fuck up. I'm talking.

SPEAKER_18

But no, I I love this show so much. I love the community. I love the Discord users, I love the Patreon users, I love the people that just chime in on social media when we drop a clip or something. That you know, if they find our show through some dumb 30-second clip, it's it's always fun.

SPEAKER_15

We have a Discord. We have a Discord, you wouldn't believe it.

SPEAKER_16

If they find our show through a clip, it's fun, unless they don't exist in reality. There are some wild comments that bring me great joy as well.

SPEAKER_18

Yeah, you're absolutely right. But no, I love this show so much. It's it's crazy. I've been doing this almost a third of my life. It's fucking bananas. It's bananas. But uh yeah, I'm happy to keep doing the show for as long as uh I don't get burnt out doing it and as long as people still enjoy listening to it.

SPEAKER_07

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_18

Oh yeah. Uh any other final words, fellas? Mally.

SPEAKER_17

I feel like that sums up my thoughts. Yeah.

SPEAKER_18

Fantastic.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I want to say congratulations to you guys. I mean, I've only been on here for like, I think under two years.

SPEAKER_15

Two years.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I haven't been on here for near as long as y'all have. What a ride.

SPEAKER_15

JT's our Paul Rudd. And that's my 13th reason one. Incredible.

SPEAKER_18

All right. Well, if that's uh if that's it, fellas, I'll wish you adieu, and I'll tell our listeners thank you so much for listening. Tune in to our next regularly scheduled episodes, and until then, as always, Excelsior.

SPEAKER_22

What an incredible evening. We hope you've enjoyed this special event. For more, please visit TSLPpodcast.com or patreon.com slash silverlinings playlist. Tip your waiters well, get home safe, and we'll see you on the next episode. And as always, Excelsior.
