It’s been 20 years since the “gay cowboy movie” split Western culture in two, but Brokeback Mountain is so much more than its prejudicial and controversial reputation. A film that arguably should have won Best Picture more than any other movie in its respective year, it unabashedly wears its heart on its sleeve and dares you to look away. Saddle up and come along with us as we celebrate this film’s cultural impact as well as its lasting legacy.
