There wouldn’t be zombies as we know them without the one who started it all - The Godfather of the Dead himself - George A Romero. And while Night of the Living Dead was an incredible introduction to the world of zombies, nothing stands toe-to-toe with his follow-up a decade later. Dawn of the Dead from 1978 is the pinnacle of zombie movies that still has a message that is relevant to this day. So walk (don’t run) to join us as we tear open this movie to see what it’s really about, including how we’d defend ourselves during a zombie apocalypse, the story of Scott Reiniger’s knighting as an Afghan prince, Mallie’s “kill kink”, and a hell of a lot more.
Dawn of the Dead (1978) stars David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, and Gaylen Ross. Directed by George A. Romero.
