Episode 148: Men
Alex Garland is known for very cerebral, thought-provoking screenplays, and while 2022's Men are both of those things, the film (frustratingly) doesn't seem to commit to anything in particular. That being said, this one has a lot to offer; beautifully haunting atmosphere, a powerhouse performance from Jessie Buckley, and a score that's out of this world. We'll discuss all of that and more, including wine moms drunk at the movies, the horrors of staying at an Airbnb, poor TV placement on furniture, and other seemingly benign topics.
