The Silver Linings Playlist
Not every movie wraps up with a neat little bow on the end. Some leave you asking "what the f@#$?!" We're here to find the silver lining in the latter. Join Dustin, Mallie, and Nathan every Monday as we try to find the light at the end of the tunnel for some of cinema's bleakest endings - and have some laughs while doing so.

Episode 141: A History of Violence (with Josh Browning of The VHS Files)
The violence continues in our episode this week, but in a much less glorified way. That's right, we're back in Cronenberg Town as we crack open 2005's A History of Violence. While there's much less body horror to be found in this one as opposed to David Cronenberg's other works, there's still a ton of gruesome acts of...well, violence. So grab a cup of COFFEE! and settle in as returning guest Josh Browning from The VHS Files sits down with Nathan and Dustin to discuss the film, as well as our love for lemon meringue pie (as well as which one of us has never tried it), the pros and cons of 69ing, the Academy Award Winning Suicide Squad (it hurts to even type those words), and a ton more.
You can check out The VHS Files on YouTube and Apple Podcasts.
A History of Violence stars Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello, William Hurt, Ed Harris, Ashton Holmes, Heidi Hayes, Peter MacNeill, Stephen McHattie, and Greg Bryk. Directed by David Cronenberg.
